The home is located in historic Owen Park. The neighborhood was established in 1910 and was included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. The neighborhood is a historic district with some of the oldest homes in Tulsa. Revitalization is in progress. You will see a mix of homes from those that have not been updated in decades (and are in need of work) to newer renovations and occasionally even some new construction. Please be advised that if you want to be in a neighborhood with all new and updated homes then this neighborhood might not be to your liking. Our home however has been fully updated and is new throughout. Most people do love being in one of Tulsa's oldest neighborhoods! The oldest surviving house in Tulsa is in Owen Park.
