Small and hard to find
The booking process was easy and the pictures were accurate but one important thing to mention is this place is difficult to find. I didn’t have great cellular service (AT&T) and the taxis didn’t know where it was so giving directions was often difficult. Aldea Zama is a nice area but there is a lot of construction and it’s dirty because of it. It’s a fairly new area and up and coming so there isn’t a lot going on around it. There are bicycles to rent in front of the building 12/day. We chose to walk and it’s about a 30 min walk to downtown and 45-60 mins to walk to the beach (brand new road with no cars yet). We entered the room and it was hot, stuffy and smelled like a barn. We turned the A/C down and activated the fan feature to air out the room. We walked around the room and noticed it was smaller than expected but fine for 2 people. We looked for the safe and found one in the “master bedroom” wardrobe closet. Unfortunately the safe was broken and I had to contact the owner and Raphael. Raphael came the following day but couldn’t fix it, so we were forced to hide our money and personal items in the condo. Not a great feeling on vacation. We noticed the front door only had a handle lock and no deadbolt. Lack of towels and no paper towels at all. Raphael brought extra towels when he came to turn the hot water on after we had already taken cold showers. There is no where to hang towels or wet clothes. Forces people to put stuff on the balcony. Late checkout! Thank you!
