„I had a group of 16 staying at the lodge and we all absolutely loved it! The facility was lovely and the rooms were very nice. The staff especially are very welcoming and kind. Best experience was walking out of the restaurant after dinner and seeing an elephant standing in the middle of the path. 10/10 would recommend!“

„Banda Lodge is good in the quality of the place. It is in good shape and the Banda's have a good living quality. The staff is there when someone ask for them. What has to get better with the staff is that the proactively behaviour needs to improve. Service needs good prediction of the customers needs so the customers feels cared.“

„Really beautiful location next to the Nile. Bungalow was spacious and comfortable. Food locally sourced was really tasty. Everything had been thought of for a place to recharge batteries. Great staff and opportunities for local walks with guides. Felt really safe. Picture windows look out over the falls. I’d far rather come here than any expensive Kampala hotel“

„The accommodation is in the middle of the nature and offers great viewing possibilities for monkeys, birds, various insects and more. It is quiet, rooms are spacious, food is delicious. Brenda did a good job and was ready to help every time. Keep in mind, it's a community location. You need a torch to walk in the dark. Some small suggestions: small towel in the room and soap to wash your hands“

„Die Lage der Lodge ist einfach wunderbar! Herrlicher Blick über den Kratersee und nah am Kibale NP. Die Angestellten waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Am ersten Abend wurde uns zu unserer Überraschung ein romantisches Dinner mit Palmenschmuck und Kerzenlicht bereitet. Am zweiten Tag gab es ein Wasserproblem, die Leitung zu unserem Cottage wurde durchtrennt. Der Manager, Patrick hat sich entschuldigt und uns am Abend die gesamten Getränke spendiert. „A surprisingly well equipped and well conceived property in the south-western region of Uganda. It's very quiet, very well-designed and my wife says it is of European quality - which is a compliment! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was very spacious. The facilities including gym are way better than in most Ugandan properties. It is a little overpriced and the food is unremarkable BUT if I had to stay near Mbarara and I could get the rate down by 30% this would definitely be my preferred ...

„I really enjoyed the hippos grazing at night. The staff also built us a bonfire the first night we were there and we were able to eat around it. The biggest problem was they said we were not expected ( even though my name was clearly on their guest list) and that they did not know we had a 6 year old with us. They were very confused at first and did not know how to handle the situation. One man was very unfriendly.“

„I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available”“

„This spot is great. It definitely isn't the most luxurious place but, for those who are game, it is a wonderful property with extremely attentive and caring staff. It is nestled right in the edge of the Kiwali forest and a great jumping off point for chimp trekking.“

Close to the airport with breathtaking view

"Very nice hotel close to the airport. Service was outstanding friendly and perfect. Room was big and very clean with a breathtaking view over lake Victoria. Same view you got from the rooftop bar which offers a lot of food and drink options and is a very cozy place to stay. Airport transfer works without any problems. To some other pubs, restaurants or Victoria mall it’s just a short walk of 5 mins. Same to the beautiful Botanic Garden. The Zoo could be with a 5 minute drive. Thank you very much I will like to return."
