Get away from it all and relax with the sounds of nature. Our cabin is located inside our bison pasture where you’ll see the bison and fall asleep to coyotes howling in the distance. A truly unique property that allows the serenity of true western life as it was when the bison roamed free. Here for the Calgary stampede? Why not drive a half hour on paved roads to the country and experience real Alberta!
Mid to late June come pick Haskap berrys (honey berry’s) in our orchard.
Purchase locally raised grass fed bison on site!

The most amazing experience!!!
This place is so shiny and clean, one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed in! And let me tell you about the details, so much care was put into design of this interior, the whole housw tells a story! The bisons are right next to your accomodation so that can follow on what they are up to, such a great experience! The wooden stove is a beast, it can get the place heated up in no time, plus there is a gas heating as well in case you do not feel like getting into making fire. Steve is amazing! If you are coming from Calgary, the drive is under one hour, gets you right in the country peace and sounds so fast! Hope you enjoy it!

Great Place. Make sure to turn on the fan.
This house is off the grid for water, electricity, and sewage. We stayed in the winter, but the house was warm and ready when we got there. Steve was quick with the water refill, gave us good directions as the address was weird on the map, and taught us everything we needed to know about the house. For utensils the place also comes with frying pans, plates, mugs and glasses, tongs and knives, a whisk, everything you really need. Clean washroom with an actual toilet. Fluffy beds. Cozy place with good furniture. You are surrounded by the bison enclosure, but not with them. No coyotes because they’re afraid of the bison. Place is quiet and there is a lot of dry fire wood. So long as you keep the batteries topped up with the generator throughout the day, you can turn it off for a quiet night's sleep, by then you’ll get enough power to keep the fan at max through the night (This is the only thing you should do so that the 2nd floor doesn’t get too hot). No heating issues as the heater is connected separately with gas.

Perfect, quiet and off-grid getaway.
We absolutely loved our 2-night stay (we wish we could have stayed for longer!) Finding the property and checking in was a breeze. Shortly after arriving, Steve stopped by to deliver water and fresh towels, and to check in with us. Our hosts were very accommodating and frequently checked in to see if we needed anything. The tiny home was marvellous, immaculate, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. A previous review mentioned not having enough water—there was plenty of tap water and drinking water. The tiny home is off-grid, and if you treat it as such (no long showers, and follow the “if it’s yellow, let it mellow” rule), then you’ll be more than fine. We stayed during a time when the overnight lows were around zero, so we made sure to light the pot belly stove a couple hours before bed. Don’t underestimate that little stove, it really gets the place toasty fast! The property is perfectly tucked in from the highway, you barely hear any road noise, and the wandering nearby bison herd adds to the extra “cool” factor. Thanks for everything, we plan to be back!

Nice secluded quiet place
We were looking for somewhere secluded in the middle of nowhere to spend some quiet time together. This place is perfect, it's close enough to Calgary that the trip isn't far at all, and it's nice and quiet. The bison pasture is right next to the house but is safely fenced off. The owner provided more than enough water for the weekend, and even provided bottled water to drink, with coffee and tea too. A very rustic place, and it might not be for everyone. But if you're looking for unique little places to disconnect from every day life, this place is amazing.

Great location
Great host for the place, it was a quiet and cozy cabin for families to stay at. The host communicated with us often to check if we need anything else. Will definitely come back again. The place is a bit dusty, maybe there wasn’t anyone live there? Also, if the host can prepare more water for water tank at the place that would be even better. The water could be enough for two people per night, but would be short if three people live there. However, the host delivers the water on time!
