„Gemütlicher Bereich lädt zum Entspannen und relaxen ein. Man darf keine Probleme Mit Spinnen oder Tieren haben. Mary ist sehr bemüht den Gästen einen schönen Aufenthalt zu bieten, sehr nett und kommunikativ. Danke für die vielen Tipps der näheren Umgebung. Die Gesellschaft der beiden Esel und Bonkers, den Hund haben wir sehr genossen.“

„Place was as described. Plenty of room for my family and close to our daughter at Westmont. Space and amenities were convenient. Property next to freeway and busy road. But sound machine in the bedrooms drown out the noise. Didn’t bother us. “

„We really enjoyed the space. Loved the gas fireplace, big kitchen and private back yard area. The bedroom with the double bed was a bit dark, not much lighting, but comfy bed and plenty of space. Perfect spot half a block from the ocean, walk to coffee shops and pier. We would definitely stay there again.“

My only complaint is that, despite a hefty cleaning fee, guests are expected to strip the beds, collect the linens and empty the trash before leaving. „We loved our 3-day stay in this charming, clean, comfortable little cottage. The layout, location and amenities were perfect for our family of four, including two college-age kids. Summerland is a cute town with a number of upscale shops, and a few restaurants, and it’s an easy drive to surfing spots, Montecito and Santa Barbara. The only drawback - as mentioned by other reviewers - is the location on a frontage road adjacent to 101 - so there is definitely significant highway noise. We had one ...

„Owner was great, responses quick and will be there on a same day when something is broken. The furniture is cool and very worthy but it's very worn. Bathrooms very worthy and clean, but the doors and the surfaces of the furniture was very dirty and dusty, the BBQ either. House needs new paint from outside and a little TLC inside. We were a large group of friends 19 and 3 kids but we spent a great time there and we would do it again. Thank you for having a great time “

„We are two families of four with four teen/tween girls and we travel together often. We love a spot to hang out, chat and let the girls be silly and a bit independent-this house was perfect for that. It’s winter so we had to get cozy in the living room/kitchen but the girls took over the main bed room (a king bed plus two double pull outs and their own bathroom!) and we adults had our own space to relax. „The property was ok. Just a little small. The neighborhood was directly off the freeway and was a very crowded street with no parking. The driveway was short and off center of the street entrance. The check in time was 3:00 but we were not able to check in until 3:30 due to the cleaning lady still being there. During our stay, the cleaning lady came through the driveway to use the laundry area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would have liked a more seamless stay. “

„We loved the house, which was better than advertised and right next to both a park and the beach. Communication was easy. Thank very much! Our whole party of 9 (7 adults and 2 kids under 6) had a great time. “

„Great property with a few exceptions. Sliding windows facing ocean need to be cleaned, would help if a squeegee were available. Need reading lights in all bedrooms, including living area so you don’t need to turn on overhead lights at night. Definitely need a booklet with house instructions for using all appliances including heater and oven. Would be very beneficial if all bedrooms had luggage racks. The shower door in the bathroom on the 2nd level across from the queen bed was off track, ...

„Everything was perfect“

„The house was perfect for our family to spend the holidays in Ventura. The view from atop the city was amazing - we watched the sea mist roll in and out over the city and the raptors flying over and around the house from the amazing deck. The guitar and piano provided a wonderful outlet for us. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms great, and the open plan upper level perfect for us and our family to enjoy the New Year.“

„Brought elderly (80+) parents and kids for a short getaway. The location was “senior friendly” (bedrooms on first floor, steps to the sand and nice umbrella and table to eat outdoors) and “teen friendly” (beach, sand, games) — everyone had a wonderful time. „The host has thought of everything!!! I appreciated the communication but most of all it was the little things that make a difference. There is a basket of chargers, coffee and tea, and tons of other little things that just make you feel at home. It was an easy process and we couldn’t have asked for anything better!!! "We were guests of the Avania Inn for four nights in mid-September 2024. The staff was above average, friendly and helpful at check-in and at breakfast. The modern room was immaculately clean and in very good condition. Overall, we felt very comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony. Yes, Santa Barbara is expensive, yes, the pool is small and - yes - there is a busy road past the hotel. But that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone if you don't close your eyes when booking. One comment: the room doors close quite loudly. This could be improved so that you are not disturbed in your sleep by neighbors coming back late. "

"Sicherlich die schönste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise. Sehr gepflegte Zimmer und Anlage mit allen Annehmlichkeiten. Leckeres Frühstück am Morgen sowie Wein und Käse am Nachmittag. Downtown Santa Barbara ist fußläufig erreichbar. Absolut empfehlenswert !!!!"
