"I checked this morning, and the property is still shown as being in Vaison La Romaine, still claims to be a short walk from the sights of Vaison, and the map show this to be the case. However, this is a total LIE. The house is in Saint Maurice sur Eygues, which is more than 15mins from Vaision by Car. The owner was quick to offer us 100 euros (so he obviously knew) but this didn't cover the cost of us staying in Vaison for two nights to spend time with the friends we were supposed to meet there....

"This was a perfect stay for us. The villa is just outside the main town (which was much larger and livelier than we had anticipated, a good choice of supermarkets and an excellent bakery.) "This accommodation is in a beautiful location. There is parking on site and this is secured by locked gates in the evening. Michael (the owner) is very accommodating, flexible and helpful. There was a garage that we were able to store our bikes in, which was very useful. If the place is busy, the cycle storage could get full though, so maybe worth checking if this is a priority. "The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. The gite is very comfortable, tastefully decorated and perfect for our stay with grandkids visiting and enjoying the pool.
