Stay in the newly renovated apartment on 11 Main, one of the most historic properties in Wachapreague, a block off the waterfront.

Featuring an open floor plan with over 1,000 sq ft, floor to ceiling new construction inside, private patio with grill & reserved parking for two vehicles.

The unit features a bedroom with a queen bed, a pullout couch in the living room, and full bath complete with a washer & dryer.

The kitchen includes granite counters & everything you need to cook a meal.

The space
Your booking is for the entire apartment. The newly renovated space, features modern design, but a cozy feel. The building is one of the oldest commercial spaces in Wachapreague, once home to a grocery store, a restaurant, retail space, and finally an apartment. The building was restored this past year, and the private patio was built with bricks from the original foundation.

I love the historic town with shops, restaurants and others just a short distance away. It suits me with the quiet neighborhood, passers by will stop and say hello or nod when your out on the patio. The apartment is perfect for a solo or duo stay!

Be sure to check out General Store next door for supplies, coffee, breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Nice place for entertaining family and friends. The Island House is a great restaurant within walking distance. Enjoyed the patio with edison light ambiance. Great stay, would use again.

I've never stayed in Wachapreague before but the Seaside Apt made me very appreciative that I found this place well located, adorable, newly renovated & owners very responsive and kind. I especially loved that I could read early or late on the patio outside and always be shaded from the summer sun. People said hello as they walked by with their dogs, etc. and I felt safe!

Everything we needed
My wife and I wanted to get away for a weekend for a belated anniversary celebration. Upon arriving we found a well appointed, perfect spot in Wachapreague. We needed a bag of ice and found it next door at the General Store. We made use of the cruiser bikes to explore the town. We made reservations Maurice's (just 11 miles away) in Onancock one night and the Island House (a VERY short walk away) the next night. Each morning I was able to walk next door to purchase very tasty breakfast sandwiches while my wife got ready. We were able to spend a day paddle boarding in Onancock, visiting the bustling Fireman's Carnival in town, and enjoying the views at the Island House Restaurant. People around town were super friendly. The apartment featured a nicely updated bedroom with a barn door, a spacious bathroom, and an open kitchen and living room. The patio was a neat spot that we will make more use of next time. If you want to get away you won't be disappointed.

Wachapreague is so peaceful
Allen is phenomenal! Our original dates were in September but Ophelia decided to show up. Allen allowed us to change our dates at the last minute which we were so grateful for. We wound up going in January which was beautiful and quiet. The apartment was super clean and just as he described it on the site. Thank you Allen for being a beautiful human being.

We loved the charming old store, beautifully restored to a large living area, bedroom with a comfortable bed, and large bathroom. Nice kitchen with plenty of dish and silverware and pots/pans. The location is also great, just a short walk to the shore, and the Island House Restaurant. We would stay here again.

Perfect apartment in a quaint town!
My husband and I booked this little apartment as a spur the moment weekend getaway. It exceeded our expectations! It is VERY spacious and clean. The location is perfect as it's just a short walk to everything you need. We had dinner at the Island House restaurant twice (definitely recommend). We booked a trip to Parramore island with Day Trippers though the Inn and walked to the bait shop as well then to the dock to meet out captain. I recommend giving that a try as well if you plan to fish and did not bring a boat. The small shop adjoining the apartment has good breakfast and great coffee that can be made dairy free! We will definitely be back to stay at this apartment in 2024 for another weekend getaway!

We would definitely stay at 11 Main again. The place was clean, roomy, well-equipped, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The best restaurant we found on our trip is barely a block away, The Island House Restaurant. We highly recommend 11 Main.

A terrific little town
We were surprised at how spacious & modern it was for a one bedroom apartment that could fit a family of four (2 adults & 2 teens). The availability of two bikes on the property was a nice touch as well. The location was convenient to activities in town, as well as serving as a launching point to explore the other areas of the VA Eastern Shore. The cleanliness rating reflects that the property initially smelled of bug spray when we arrived, and the bathroom trash was full. Otherwise we would have given it a 5. We’d consider staying there again, especially if the owner ever opens it up to allowing well behaved dogs to stay too.

Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful time at our weekend getaway to ride in the CBES Between the Waters Bike Tour! The property was VERY spacious, comfortable, and clean. The owner sent clear instructions ahead of our arrival. Additional information was posted inside the property. The WiFi worked great since there wasn’t much cell service in Wachapreague. The bed was so comfy, we slept like rocks. The location was fantastic with the general store right next door. Parking was easy and convenient. Thanks again!

VIMS Day--extended weekend in Wachapreague
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this rental. Loved the location! Having the General store literally right next store was such a perk! We enjoyed riding the bikes through the town and walking a block to the marina and the Island House Restaurant. The property is newly renovated and so pretty and comfortable! Parking is great and the property is so easy to find and access! (The Volunteer Fire fighters' Siren went off across the street around 9:30 on Friday night, scaring us--warning: boy is it loud! But, it is clearly mentioned in the notes left by the owner; we just didn't read about it until the next morning! The upstairs renters were a bit heavy footed in the early morning and the late evening. I personally just think that it is an old building and hearing upstairs' movements is one of its quirks. However, we brought white noise makers with us, as our family uses them to sleep each night, so we were not too affected.) We would DEFINITELY stay here again; we look forward to returning in the future! I highly recommend renting this property!!

Amazing place in a quaint town
We loved this converted store front. Well decorated and with anything you might need. Extra bonus items like bikes and a grill were great. The owner was great at communicating and offered suggestions for activities. We were lucky enough to get out on the water with Captain Merriweather of Seaside Ecotours. A highlight of our stay. The little store right next store was convenient and the staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed the Island House restaurant as well. Our only very small hiccup was the door keypad. We had some minor struggles entering, it took 3-5 times to get the door code in and get the door unlocked. Perhaps it was a user error ;) Overall we LOVED our stay and would definitely stay again!
