In this spacious one/two bedroom cottage you can truly get away from it all with spectacular unobstructed ocean views from nearly every room! Completely remodeled, with upscale kitchen and bathroom. We have granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, quartzite flooring throughout, Hawaiiana style elephant bamboo furniture, bathroom with walk-in shower, plus a hot water shower in the outer back porch as well. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom is a smaller room with two single beds. The view from the living and kitchen overlook the ocean with a complete bar height dining table and seating area, perfect for watching sunsets inside or out. Enjoy the incredible front row seats to the oceanview, sea turtles that feed in the water in your front yard, the peace and quiet you will find, the long strolls on the beach at low tide and the lush beautifully landscaped property. This is truly a tropical haven! This cottage is a duplex, located on a 6 acre parcel with other cottages. The property has secured gated parking, a heated "salt water" pool, tennis court, Pickleball court, chipping green and a coin-op laundry room available to all our guests. There are miles of deserted beaches with golden sand and pristine waters, filled with tropical fish, seasonal whales and sea turtles. Discover isolated sandy coves perfect for swimming and snorkeling, driftwood, seashells, surfing, windsurfing & kite boarding. The mountains behind the cottage offer good hiking trails. Just a few miles from the cottage you will find the world famous beaches of the North Shore and the lovely historic town of Haleiwa. There is a harbor, restaurants, art galleries and local food markets. We are an easy 30 minutes from Pearl Harbor and about 10 more from there to the Honolulu Airport.

Too bad :(
13A needs a thorough cleaning: kitchen was sticky/dirty, we had to wash cooking utensils before use. Appliances, cabinets sticky, shades (that worked) tattered, doors very dirty and in disrepair, glass on photos and mirrors dirty. I did not come here to clean, but somethings I could not stand. Very disappointing because the location is quiet and the views are awesome. Love the outdoor shower and tile work is beautiful. A couple of suggestions: lots of cooking pans, etc. but only four silverware set? Constantly having to wash silverware. Also the dining chairs are very noisy and difficult to move – gliders on chair legs would be nice.

North Shore Relaxation
This is the second time I have stayed at this property. The owners are easy to communicate with and prompt. On the surface of things this is a fabulous location for a quiet getaway about 15-20 minutes from the real North Shore action. You can’t get any closer to the water than this unit and the views are spectacular! The mattresson the primary bed is in need of a change to accommodate a good nights sleep and a couple of new beach chairs would be awesome and make trekking to the beach easier. But overall good value and a wonderful place unwind!easier. But

Pleasant Surprise
We have been to Oahu many times over the last 30 years and stayed on North Shore mainly between Haleiwa and Turtle bay. We have been out driving and hiking in the Mokoleia area but have never stayed on that side of Haleiwa before. We were very pleasantly surprised with this little development as it was quiet, safe and very well maintained. The unit we rented was very well appointed, clean and sits right on the seawall with amazing oceanfront views.

Morning Coffee & Ocean Views
Its hard for me to articulate how wonderful our stay was at Sunset Hale! Firstly the communication from Katiann & Jason was great, they made check in easy, answered any questions during our stay and made our check out experience so much easier for our young family. The house was comfortable, well stocked and you can not beat the view right outside your door step. My favourite was to sit on the grass near the sea wall and have my morning cup of coffee and watch and listen to the ocean. It was peaceful, clean and had everything we needed for our beach days. We stayed during the winter season and did not go into the ocean from the cottage access because it was rough, I hear some people do snorkel. The only thing I wish I knew before hand yet it would not have altered my decision to book was that the sea wall did not have a beach below and was a big drop. We have a 2 year old, luckily he was great and we could sit outside together with little stress. We took surf lessons with North Shore Surf girls (10/10), went on a fishing charter with Blue Marlon and swam with turtles at a near by beach, watched the sunsets and soaked up all the magic of the North Shore. Our family had the most magical stay here and would return if we ever came back!

Couldn’t be closer to the water.
The house is small & cute. The 2nd bedroom is really only good for 2 kids. There’s no windows or closets in the 2nd room. But the grounds were nice & well maintained. The neighbors that live there full time were all very nice. There isn’t a beach in front of the condo. It’s a wall with a steep drop & the ocean comes right up to the wall. Nice beaches are a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again.

True Hawaiian Delight
Our stay at Sunset Hale was wonderful! The owner communicated promply and provided exce)ent service, inculding rearranging our dates to be there! The directions and means to enter the home were clear. The house was exceptionally clean; it offered all the amenities we needed. The best part was walking a just few feet to the breakwater. Every night, we sat in front, watching the stars. Incredible! We also had a rental car, so we had wonderful drives up the north coast to Ted's Bakery and also the Dole Pineapple Plantation and Macadamia Farm. I truly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Hale, even better than our stay at in Waikiki! If you're looking for a nice house with lots of amenities and lots of fun nearby, Sunset Hale is the place for you!!

N Shore Visit
Short stay on N Shore on way to Maui and rented Sunset Hale on short notice. Location is great and is in a small private gated community so felt very safe. Unit is a duplex Right on the waters edge (no immediate beach and no patio/outdoor sitting. Unit was comfortable and had recent updating and does not have AC but fortunately there was a nice breeze and main bedroom was very comfortable due to ample windows and ceiling fan. We would have preferred AC as house was a little warm but manageable. Host were very responsive and checked in often and were quick to respond when communicated with. Overall 4 star stay due to no patio sitting, no AC and no beach access as we like the water. We had a great time

Love this oceanfront beach condo
We throughly enjoyed staying in this house. There is a completely unobstructed ocean view from the kitchen table. No lanai, but lots of ventilation from wooden slat window shades and ceiling fans. The nearest beach is yards away down seawall stairs and over some rocks and waves. Very few people on this stretch of sand. Our kids, 11 and 14, stayed and played but no complaints about noise. We would definitely stay again!

We love this place
Cottage is very open and well stocked for your cooking pleasures. When in Hawaii you want all you windows and shades open so you can enjoy all the beauty the North Shore has to offer. The front windows have the best views of the ocean you can imagine and the sounds of the waves gentle send you off to a great night sleep and then again in the morning the gently wake you. The cottage 2nd bedroom is a bit small and has no closet or storage space for your belongings but your at the beach so get over it !! Owners are very response and we can't wait to rent from them in hopefully the near future. Aloha

Beautiful location directly on the water. Your windows are literally 20 feet from the water facing north. Not a lot of privacy as people walk right in front of your windows and there are no working shades on the windows and due to no AC the louver windows are open all time and the units are close together. But the location is amazing and the hosts were very quick to respond.

Beautiful and Quiet Escapte
Beautiful property so close to the water. With all the people and chaos we encountered everywhere we went all over the island, it was such a treat to return to this quiet retreat each day. Well stocked kitchen for all our cooking needs. Beautiful views with turtles and seals right outside the window. Nice airflow throughout the building helped keep us cool in the heat. All around great place!
