„The property was well presented and nice and clean. We found the heater was not adequate for the cold temperatures we experienced and was noisy. The microwave seemed problematic to use and some instructions would have helped. The host was pleasant and it was lovely to come home to find some local produce on the deck. I’d stay again if up that way. “

„We had a great stay, plenty of beds and room for our group of 13 to spread out. Kitchen fully equipped and nice to have 3 separate bathrooms for our 3 families. Kids loved having the kitten and chickens to play with. It was the perfect base for us to explore the far north and experience a different beach or attraction each day. Would definitely recommend.“

„Loved the place with all the facilities - limited instructions eg. TV use, and information about the area. Didn't realise how close the neighbours were and had to keep curtains closed most of the time to prevent neighbours on all sides seeing in. Wonderful and close access to the beach. Great to have our dog with us and would stay again but be wary of being there when other neighbouring baches had guests.“

„On the web site it showed a hot tub which there wasn't one ! one of the reasons we booked this bach. This has since been removed. Also was not advised of the severe water shortage (heads up would have been nice) and someone was going to come round and measure what was in the tank - no-one came we were very conservative with the water and would have been anyway if we had been told..Maybe a reduction in the daily rate would have been welcome due to the above. „As a group we have stayed here before and again it did not disappoint. This is a remote bach and therefore do not expect all the comforts of a major city but that is why we will continue to return. That and the outstanding scenerey, location, access to the epic fishing grounds including the harbour. I live in Whanganui and this trip is well worth the 14 hrs drive, towing a boat. Aware that sounds bizarre but if your a fisherman this location is paradise. Much appreciated to hosts. Lee“

„The Hotel is a bit dated and needs a refreshing. All the lights on the way to our room were off and most disappointing, the pool was closed due to an outage. This can happen of course, but any kind of compensating this, was refused. We would have expected any sign to adjust the loss of using the pool area. It is that that reception was not willing to do so. As a consequence we did not use the restaurant on our second day. This behavior is not a 4 star hotel behavior. That's a pity.“
