Escape to our private, quiet, secluded cabin in the woods with a beautiful crystal clear lake level sandy beach. Big Sand Lake is 1660 acres and one of the most pristine crystal clear lakes in MN. Located 8 miles north of from Park Rapids, only 3.25 hours from the Twin Cities and 1.75 hours from Fargo.
Our lake home cabin has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 10 people in beds. The cabin is 100 feet from lake shore and is secluded with privacy. Enjoy a beautiful view of Big Sand Lake with 4 large glass doors facing lakeside from the Living Room, Dining Room, Master Bedroom and 4th Bedroom. There is also a nice large deck to enjoy the lake view and the colorful sunsets each evening. Listen to the ripple of the water and the call of the loon. Decorated in ‘up north’ décor and a complete kitchen with all you need including newer appliances: Kinetico water system, stove, refrigerator, dish washer, microwave, washer and dryer. Equipped with air conditioning in the summer and a gas fireplace along with base board heat for the winter. Level elevation to lake along with 100 feet of grass between deck and lake so plenty room for playing lawn games, sitting in lawn chairs, pitching a tent, and etc. Driveway is blacktop with no gravel to keep your vehicle and boat dust free. Blacktop driveway is perfect for kids to ride their bikes and scooters.

Cabin was completely furnished with all brand new items in May 2020: custom built bedroom furniture, bedding (sheets, blankets, quilt), towels, beach towels, coffee maker, toaster, griddle, pizzaz rotating pizza oven, dinnerware, glassware, wine glasses, bake ware (cookie sheets, cake pans, 9x9 pan, loaf pan), utensils (spatulas, turners, can opener, pizza cutter, cheese slicer, cork screw, bottle opener), knife block, hand mixer, pots and pans, roasting pan, crockpot, air popcorn popper, mixing bowls, stainless steels bowls, strainer, fish cooker, gas grill, bug fogger, air compressor for blowing up lake toys, lawn chairs, lounge chairs, picnic table, games, dice, puzzles, outdoor games, DVD player and DVD movie library.
Washer and Dryer available for your use as well as laundry soap and dryer sheets.
Dock is 60 feet long.

Public Landing is 1.5 miles down the road to launch your boat.

Abundant wildlife in the area: loons, eagles, swans, ducks, geese, turtles, hummingbirds, chipmunks, deer, fox and turkeys. All seen at various times on the lake and our driveway.
Northern Minnesota is the land of sunsets, northern lights, campfires, relaxation and laughter. Relish the seasons.
Spring/Summer/Fall:
• Go fishing for the day. Feel the thrill of the catch. Take a pic of the one that didn’t get away.
• Play on the beach in the crystal clear hard bottom sandy beach.
• Sit on the dock and take in the tranquility of the lake.

• Enjoy over 200 miles of ATV trails.
• Ride your bicycle on the 50-mile Heartland State Trail.
• Enjoy some retail therapy at the area boutiques or antique stores.
• Make memories that will be talked about in years to come.
Winter:
• Go ice fishing for the day. Nothing beats a day on the ice catching fish thru the ice.
• Snuggle up in a blanket and watch the snow gently blanket the ground.
• Play games or throw some dice around the table.
• Challenge yourself setting one of our wildlife puzzles.
• Ride over 1,000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails.

Park Rapids has several good hiking and biking areas suitable for both individual and family use. The Heartland Trail, a 50 mile multi-use trail that stretches from Park Rapids to Walker, with rest stops at Dorset and Nevis is just 3 miles away. Itasca State Park, a must-see place for anyone new to the area, is just 20 miles away. It also has excellent hiking and biking trails, plus the Headwaters of the Mississippi River and other historic sites.
