This is a walk-out first floor apartment, opening onto a patio with a small table and chairs, a couple rockers and a fire pit for you to use. The back yard has beautiful views over the valley and rolling hills of Holmes County. There's a newly constructed grape arbor with a bench to relax under and the horses that give buggy rides at Carlisle Inn graze in the pasture behind the house.

Amazing but Difficult Time with Parking
I loved my stay! I had everything I needed and it was close to all the places and shops I wanted to go to in both Berlin and Walnut Creek! The only bad thing was parking. Parking in the driveway was extremely difficult and it was very narrow. It would be helpful to have somewhere else to park instead. I will also say it’s be renovated. There are three beds now so you could have up to 4 people stay!

So Relaxing!
We loved this cottage, so much that we booked it for another night! The property owner was very kind and helped us very quickly with an issue that was not his fault. He reached out to VRBO and got us a resolution! A very relaxing get away, very close to everything we needed and wanted to see and do. We will be booking again soon!

This was a beautiful and central location to all the places we wanted visit in Amish Country. Nicely decorated. Very clean. We would have lit the wood burning stove for the ambience, but it was too warm in the room to want to add heat.

Cutest Apartment in Amish Country!
I really, really loved this stay! First, the communication with the owners was outstanding. We wanted to arrive a little before 4 and they were very accommodating. The details for arrival were very easy to follow and the checklist wasn't too crazy (some of these places ask you to do way too much before you leave). The parking is a little tricky as it is pretty steep and tight but we made it work! The views are just spectacular! Inside was the best decorated VRBO place I've stayed at thus far. I kind of wish they would come and decorate my place haha. We had no issue with the upstairs controlling the heat/cold. Would definitely stay here again!

Very spacious with all the comfort of home. Location was great and was very clean. This is a unit below the owners house so you can hear people above somewhat. It did not bother us though and still felt private enough. We would stay again.

Nice place!
Nice place. However would not recommend if you like being able to control the temperature as it is controlled by the upstairs. I am very hot natured and had to go buy a fan to be able to stay there. I messaged the property owner/rental agent and never received a response. I really feel it should be mentioned in the description so one can make an informed decision about booking. Never once entered my mind that I would not be able to control the air.

Pleasantly surprised.
Place was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. The bed was very, very comfortable. Our only, minor issue was not being able to control the temperature. It is controlled by owner upstairs. Sometimes, it was too warm for us. Fortunately, it was cool out and we could open windows. But for most people this would not be a problem. The place is well worth the money

The property is very clean and well kept. The host was very responsive to messages through the VRBO. I do feel that the description however is misleading. The space is called "My Romantic Cottage"; however it is in a living space below the owners house. It is not the cottage pictured the the "driveway" picture. There are two properties on site and "Romantic Vista Cottage" is a the stand alone property.
