"Very nice location for exploring Oxfordshire. Typical English country hotel with good breakfast options and clean spacious rooms. Beware of the extra charge of 30 pounds per night for an extra bed. We booked for three people via Expedia and we’re not informed beforehand about that. It was only on the booking confirmation in very fine print. Breakfast staff was nice, did not have much interaction with the rest of staff. There were some problems with our booking dates so I think we ended up with a different smaller room, but did not have to pay the charge for the extra bed as a compensation. There are a lot of groups staying one night only so breakfast can get busy and noisy. I was a bit disappointed about the bread selection, toast and small sweet things only, no bagels or crumpets but that may be only me. On the whole I‘d stay there again as it is a really great location for seeing places by rental car."

"Das Frühstück könnte mehr Abwechslung vertragen, z. B. fehlt Gemüse, wie Tomate und Gurke. Es fehlt an Käse. "

"Das Zimmer war sauber, die Betten gut und man hat sich wohlgefühlt. Vom Hoteleigene Restaurant ist dringend abzuraten. Hätte ich den Fisch gegessen wäre der Urlaub mit Sicherheit zu Ende gewesen. Angeschnitten und dann kam ein Gestank... Wurde zwar anstandslos getauscht, hätte aber dem Koch auffallen müssen. Personal im Restaurant ungelernt, selbst das Guinness zapfen hat ewig gedauert. "
