One has to descend a spiral broken set of steps to a dungeon like setting; a dehydrated Bat greeted us upon entry. The kitchen has a bizarre refrigerator door that opens toward you in a cramped kitchen, the bed is good, the chest of drawers have broken drawers, tub rusted in several spots. Quick hot water. Bookshelf in the den ready to collapse. Convenient cafe/store on the block and easy access to the Metro. One may have a lot of issues with accommodation, if expecting hotel like accommodation, but can’t beat the location.

Very helpful host close to the Capitol
The apartment is pretty much exactly as it is described. The neighborhood is safe and walk able. The parking permit was a big plus.The host was fantastic .The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because it is a basement apartment. I knew this, but I was hoping it wouldn't feel like a basement apartment. It does. If you are sensitive to low light and a slight dampness this will bother you. However, for its price, the neighborhood and the host who was fantastic it is a great stay.wonderful I definitely recommend.

This VRBO is wonderfully equipped for kitchen and bathroom. The owner is very responsive. The bed linens had seen better days but the real alert is the entry. If you have any mobility issues this listing would pose a risk. Even a handrail would improve the entry.

Spacious and great location!
We loved our stay in DC! This is a wonderful location close to the national mall and walking distance to Union Station. Very spacious with lots of amenities! The bed was comfy and I slept amazing. The host was always quick to respond to my questions and was kind and accommodating! Would highly recommend!

Adorable property and WONDERFUL HOST!!
We booked this stay for my husband and I during a 3 day trip. Checking in was seamless as far as directions and codes but there was a little miscommunication about parking. It was not the hosts fault but rather a confusing listing and property management issue. The host fixed the issue immediately and was incredibly nice and accommodating. He gave us suggestions for our stay and was so nice to talk to. The rental was clean and adorable. Bed was comfy and there is a wonderful little store just steps away with amazing sandwiches. Wifi and service is spotty but we came prepared for that since it was mentioned in the listing. The only issue I could see someone having would be getting down the steps if you have mobility issues. Also warned in the listing so make sure you read. We will be back for sure!

Perfect size and location for two travelers
The description of this property is very accurate and it is well represented in the photos provided. Communication before, during, and at the end of our trip was timely and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped with all the tools, cutlery, and great quality pans you’ll need. Nice little grocery corner store at the end of the block and an easy few block walk to Whole Foods for anything you may need. It’s the perfect size for a couple or two travelers and has everything you could ask for including a comfortable bed & couch, great quality towels, ample hot water on demand, and any little extras you may need. If you’re looking for luxury and frills, grab a hotel…if you’re looking for a safe, comfortable place with easy access to all the DC has to offer, this is a great option.

Great location!
This was a great location to stay and Jonathan was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Very close to Metro and bus lines to get anywhere in D.C. Corner market close with coffee, sandwiches, etc. Several other restaurants close by as well. Wifi could use a boost but we would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great unit in a great location
This rental was the perfect spot for me for a few days on Capitol Hill, very convenient location in walking (or quick scooter rental) distance to the Capitol, and to Union Station for those who want to venture further. The owner Jonathan was very nice and helpful. My only complaint is that I didn't receive the door code in a timely manner from the management agency, so it was a good thing the owner was nearby so he could let me in!

Great Stay on Capital Hill
A great place to stay in DC, whether you're a tourist or here on business. Convenient on-street parking, if you're driving. Well-stocked kitchen and Whole Foods a few blocks away, if you want to cook or plenty of nearby restaurants if not. Clean & comfortable, I stayed here with my two adult children and didn't feel cramped. I'd stay here again when I'm in the area.

Inclusive and Safe!!
First I have to say this is the safest and cleanest place I've been since Covid19....they left extra masks and hand sanitizer for us and I was extra impressed with the neighborhood and how they wore masks even walking fido! The location is great just be mindful the steps are narrow and tricky when it rains. So one tip, is dont pack heavy bags... you'll thank me later! Everything else was top notch from the extra bedroom, bathroom and kitchen items that helped me fry up some fresh spots and croakers from the Wharf! If I return to DC in 2020, I'll definitely return here at this great professional run location!
