The Coral Cabin absolutely has a cabin feel. The building was built in 1912, and the workmanship shows it, but it does not feel old. The floors warp in several places, and the cabin leans a little, but it just adds to the charm. The beams inside were fascinating. We absolutely fell in love with the place.
The host has gone out of his way to make the two story cabin comfortable. There is a new washer and dryer unit to allow you to pack less clothes, and he supplied ample detergent. The bed is confortable, and the towels are thick and new. Is it a 5 star hotel? No, that is not its intent. It fits like that favorite sweater that may be a few season old.
But do not fear…there is a large screen TV, Wifi, a kitchen, Washer/dryer (worth second mention), hair dryer, shower, heater and air conditioner, stove, refrigerator… there is even a fire pit outside (that we didn’t get to use due to time.) There was nothing we were left needing.
The host is responsive, local, friendly, and helpful.
We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. It was the favorite of the 6 places we stayed in on our New England trip.
