The space
Built and updated for year round use with 2400 sf of finished space. Updated and fully furnished kitchen with silverware, bowls, plates, pans, etc. - everything you need for great family meals! Huge custom sliding door on main level overlooks the deck and lake. Deck offers two seating areas and umbrella for table.
Open living room features spacious high-end sofa, sitting chairs, gas fireplace, flat screen tv with local channels, and ability to plug in your own streaming device (FireStick, Roku, Apple TV, etc.) via HDMI. Bring your own and connect to our high speed wifi!
Two bedrooms on the main floor. One with a queen bed, plenty of floor space, and huge closet. One with a king bed, plenty of floor space, and a large closet. Both bedrooms on the main floor have twin mattresses in the closet (with extra linens) in case families need flexibility with bedrooms. Feel free to put the twin mattress on the floor. One full bathroom with a large shower on the main floor. Washer and dryer on main floor as well. A small amount of Tide Pods and laundry supplies are made available to guests.
Downstairs features an awesome rec room with a bar, tables, and chairs that features a large sliding door to walk out to the lake frontage. The downstairs bedroom features a queen bed and a twin bed. The downstairs also has one bathroom with a shower. If you prefer to use a blow up mattress, you may bring your own and there is ample space downstairs to sleep.
Outside features a huge fire pit area, 9 person picnic table, super comfy chairs, and ample yard space on the side and back of the house. A private retreat with mature trees to the north and a fence to the south. A few short steps to the lake brings you to the dock with great fishing and a bench for relaxing and taking in the view. In the summer, enjoy sandy frontage all along the shores that drops off quickly at the end of the dock for cannon-ball competitions.
Pontoon Rental
We have a 20' pontoon with a 40hp engine that is also available to rent for the duration of your stay. The pontoon is stored on a motorized lift at the dock at the house. Please inquire with host if you are interested in renting the pontoon!
PLEASE NOTE: In the winter, the lake has a moving, continuous current from the Wisconsin River. Therefore, the thickness of the lake ice cannot be trusted or verified as safe. Guests should not go near the ice during cold months.
Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Extra charges will apply if #guests exceed 4. Additional charges will be added for any additional guests that were not on the original reservation. We work hard to provide you with a 5 star experience and stay - please be transparent with the hosts so we can best accommodate your group. Pets/animals are not permitted in the home. Unauthorized guests or pets/animals will be assessed a $200 per night cleaning fee.
Guest access
Asphalt road with concrete and gravel driveway. Parking for 4 vehicles and grass area for boat trailer parking. Garage and storage shed will remain locked. Additional firewood is available to purchase locally.
Other things to note
This home is licensed for short-term rentals by the Marathon County Health Department. We follow local county health department rules for licensing and inspections. The home is inspected by the Marathon County Health Dept. annually, which includes visual inspection of interior and exterior, as well as a comprehensive water quality test (we pass the tests with ease!). The hosts also have two exterior security cameras - one in front of the home and one in the back. The cameras are not monitored unless requested by guests (due to an incident or issue) and are for guest/home security and safety.
