„We have had three pretty days at the Bassenthwaite Lake Side Lodge. Everything was successfully. We loved to sit outside on the terracce. It is such a quite, peacefull place. Two times we walked to the Pub "Sun in" in Bassenthwaite it is a halfe hour walk away.“

„I booked this lodge via VRBO as a mini break for my birthday with my 8 year old son. The VRBO website clearly stated that the lodge had a private hot tub, as did my booking confirmation. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was NO hot tub. The actual lodge was lovely but VRBO mis-advertised the property. „I had a great stay,I booked the unit a day before my arrival and once booked I received all the check in info immediately, no key was needed all acess is through a keypad system which is nice.The unit was very spacious and cozy,I really liked the kitchen set-up,Carlisle is a wonderful city and fun to explore and the apartment was only a 5 minute walk to the train station.“

„We spent a week in this pleasant and tastefully decorated cottage and felt very comfortable. The welcome was very friendly and we received many useful tips. The cottage was as described and was very clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need as a self-caterer. The view from the living room with its large windows on the valley and the sheep pasture was very nice and could be enjoyed with a cup of tea even in the rain. We recommend the cottage 100 percent!“
