Dezember 2019 ** Was für ein erstaunlicher Ort - wunderschöne neu renovierte Villa (Ende 2018) mit 3 Schlafzimmern, 3 1/2 Badezimmern, Pool, Klimaanlage, WIFI, DishNetwork, Privatsphäre, abgeschirmt -in Veranda und einen kurzen Spaziergang zum Strand von Long Bay! Solaria ist die perfekte Villa im karibischen Stil mit hübschen Farben, charmanten Lebkuchen und hervorragender Aussicht. Diese Villa ist nicht nur hübsch - sie ist gut gestaltet und bietet maximale Privatsphäre für jeden Gast sowie die aufgeführten Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie nicht überall finden!

Eine hohe Wand mit Holztüren begrüßt Sie am Ende der geräumigen Einfahrt, so dass Sie beim Betreten des Innenhofs auch in den "Urlaubsmodus" wechseln und in Ihr eigenes kleines Paradies entkommen können!

Direkt davor befinden sich das Haupthaus und die Master Suite dahinter in einem zweiten Pavillon. Auf der rechten Seite befindet sich ein dritter Pavillon mit zwei weiteren Schlafzimmern. Es ist wirklich selten, eine Villa mit 3 vergleichbaren Schlafzimmern zu finden, so dass Paare, die zusammen wohnen, keine Strohhalme über den Schlaf ziehen müssen, wer wo schläft! Jedes Schlafzimmer ist komplett abgeschirmt und verfügt über ein bequemes und wunderschön gekleidetes Kingsize-Holzbett, Klimaanlage, ein eigenes Bad, französische Türen, die zu einem privaten Balkon mit Sitzgelegenheiten führen, und einen faszinierenden Blick auf das azurblaue Wasser, nur wenige Minuten von der Villa entfernt . Ein Schlafzimmer befindet sich im Obergeschoss mit einem 32-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher mit DishNetwork und einer Dusche und Badewanne im Badezimmer. Das andere ist nur wenige Schritte vom Innenhof entfernt, so dass jeder seine Privatsphäre hat.

Die Eingangstür führt in das Herz des Meeres, wo immer Sie hinschauen! Das Wohnzimmer ist komfortabel für 6 oder mehr Personen eingerichtet, wobei Winde durch Fenster und Türen an 3 der Wände strömen. Der 55 "-Flatscreen mit DishNetwork ist da, wenn Sie ihn brauchen, genauso wie der AC. Eine Reihe von abgeschirmten französischen Türen führt zu einer kleinen Veranda mit Blick auf den Ozean, während zwei weitere französische Türen direkt auf die abgeschirmte Veranda führen, wo Sie zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit ungezwungen im Freien speisen können, ohne dass Ihnen Moskitos die Mühe machen Ich weiß, dass einige von euch da draußen sehr attraktiv für diese kleinen Fehler sind!

Die Küche ist mit Edelstahlgeräten gut ausgestattet und bietet Platz für mehr als einen Koch im Haus ... Die Küche verfügt über eine Durchreiche, durch die Sie bequem in den abgeschirmten Speisesaal gelangen können. Doppeltüren führen in den Innen-Speisesaal, der mit einer Auswahl hübscher, vielseitiger Stücke dekoriert ist. Lassen Sie die Glastüren für Brise offen oder schließen Sie die Klimaanlage und schalten Sie sie ein.

Solaria befindet sich auf der perfekten Höhe, damit das Meer ein glasig-heiteres Aussehen erhält, während Yachten vorbeifahren, und doch können Sie in wenigen Minuten zum Long Bay-Strand laufen. Der L-förmige Pool und die umliegende Terrasse sind der perfekte Ort, um diese Aussicht bei einem Drink oder Buch für einige von Ihnen und Schatten für andere zu bewundern. Eine abgelegene Nische hinter dem Pooldeck bietet den dritten Essbereich neben dem eingebauten Gasgrill.

Und schließlich die Master Suite ... ein schönes Zimmer, eingerichtet mit balinesischen Teakholz-Möbeln, eigenem Bad und einem Balkon, der der perfekte Ort für ein wenig Lesung ist, umgeben von üppigem Grün, das in der Brise raschelt.

Wir empfehlen, für Ihren Aufenthalt ein Allradfahrzeug zu mieten. Es gibt viel zu sehen und Taxis summieren sich schnell. Tortola ist nur 12 Meilen lang und 3 Meilen breit, aber es ist eine bergige Insel, und die Straßen können ziemlich robust sein. Die BVIs sind sehr sicher, sodass Sie die Straße überall erkunden können.

This was a beautiful option for our stay! The view is spectacular and the accommodations were very nice. The kitchen had a lot of stocked items which made it easy to cook! We were shocked at the items and condiments that were available. A cleaning crew was suppose to come on Friday, in which we would be out of the house, but they didn't come until Saturday while we were still there and trying to dress to go somewhere. A bit of inconvenience but it was doable. If there was any complaint at all, it would be upon making the deposit, we were charged some kind of fee for 4 people staying in a 3 bedroom property. After asking about this, it was explained that it was just a charge VRBO has. It really doesn't make sense to have an extra fee for 4 people when you have a 3 bdrm house. I could understand if it was a 2 bdrm home and we had 6 people. Just beware, maybe all VRBO's charge a per person on top of the actual rental fee. We loved our visit and will gladly recommend or rent this beautiful home again.

Unbelievable Views, Beautiful Villa

Sam, Sharlene and Pinky are the most welcoming hosts we've ever met. The villa is large, with private bedrooms and en suites for each, so families can have together time as well as alone time. Air conditioning throughout, including in the family room (a BIG bonus in our book). The pool is in the central part of the villa and overlooks the sea. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal or bring food back from any excursion and enjoy on real plates rather than paper/takeout. Check-in/check-out is a breeze. We rented a vehicle (make sure you stay left and watch for cars on the switchbacks/curvy mountain roads), but also had Eric (Eric's taxi) take us into Road Town for shopping and lunch - he knows every road in Tortola and how to get to anything. Plus he's just a downright super nice person. Solaria is such a beautiful place, and perfect for families with teens/older kids.

What an amazing house. We traveled with all adult family members and were overwhelmed with the beauty. Rosy was there cleaning and happily gave us a tour of the home. We got lost coming back from the store and called and got turn by turn directions while on the phone. You will likely want a car but man oh man it’s a steep drive. Used the pool more than expected and absolutely loved our time at Solaria. We will be back and highly recommend this home. Also our first trip to Tortola did not disappoint. What a lovely place with equally lovely people.

Great Vacation Home

My family of 5 had a great week of vacation at Solaria. The 3 bedrooms allowed for privacy while the living area was spacious enough for the whole group. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. The location was really great. It’s close to several restaurants and close to the Smuggler’s Cove beach. The communication with the owner and house manager was great as well. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Tortola.

Perfect island retreat

Five of us shared Solaria for two weeks and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The villa layout was perfect, giving each couple privacy when needed. The kitchen and common areas were well appointed and we had everything we needed for a nice day at the beach. Of course the best thing was the location. The views were absolutely amazing and we could even hear the waves from below. The drive up is easy and quick. Having stayed in many places throughout the islands on all sorts of "roads" this was a plus. We walked down to the restaurant for coffee in the morning plus a walk along the beach. Other restaurants were very close by. Communication with owner/manager was quick. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Winter getaway for a month

Sam, the property manager through Villas of Tortola, was a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. The property was exactly what we expected and the area offered plenty to do. Cleaning staff managed by Rose was also awesome. Great experience! Even got used to the driving!

Beautiful Villa but Disappointed

We are a group of 3 ladies from the US who travel once a year to catch up and relax and we finally made it to BVI after covid delayed us one year. We chose this Villa because it had 3 bedrooms and we could each have our own privacy, yet have plenty of space to share and enjoy each others company since we don’t see each often. Lets start by saying the Villa is absolutely beautiful and provides a breathtaking view. Be prepared for a drive up some very steep roads to get to this place. That is a trade off for this view. It is worth it! Everything was very clean, very tastefully decorated, and furnished with very nice quality furniture. This place could/should be deserving of a 5 star Villa. There was one huge negative. The bedrooms on the courtyard side had roach visitors during the week. We fully understand this is an island and there will be bugs, but these were roaches! The issue was first noticed on the bottom floor bedroom early in the stay and was reported and pictures were sent to the housekeeper for proof/verification of what we were seeing. This seemed to be downplayed because on Friday (the day before we were leaving) the place still was not exterminated. The person staying in this room had to leave the lights on 24x7 in order to keep them away as they do not like light. Since the lights were kept on, some of the roaches crawled under clothes that were sitting on the dresser to hide in darkness. The last morning we were there, the person staying in the bedroom above the bottom floor bedroom found a roach on her bathroom vanity with LOTS of little ants all over it. A one week vacation sleeping with the lights on, and finding some roaches in your room and under your clothes when you picked them up just didn’t equate to the relaxation one would envision on this beautiful island in this beautiful Villa. This certainly left a disappointed feeling. We are mentioning this not to turn people away from this place, but to make sure if a customer has a legitimate complaint it is addressed in a timely manner. As meticulous as this place is, we are confident the owner will address this quickly so future guests can sleep comfortably.

Villa Solaria is better than the photos

The stunning views, the comfort of Villa Solaria, and the warmth of the people of Tortola made our trip! The pictures capture the villa accurately, but they can't capture the calm you feel when you spend a few days taking it all in. The location of the villa is great. You can walk to a great coffee shop at the bottom of the hill in less than 10 minutes and there are great restaurants within a very short drive.. Sam is so responsive and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Covid Safe Vacation

We loved our stay at Villa Solaria! Because of the covid guidelines we had to spend the first five days of our vacation quarantining in the villa. The villa fit our needs wonderfully. We had plenty of space as to not feel confined during our quarantine. We loved sitting by the pool, working out in the front courtyard, or spending time at night in the living room. Sam the manager is very helpful and responds quickly. The view from the villa is stunning, you can see the ocean and jost van dyke in the distance.

Only con was walk to beach is a difficult down and, especially up, if you are not in reasonable shape, as incline is steep, but short drive is easy option. Had great visit, would do it again!

Great week at Solaria

Our family enjoyed a fabulous week on beautiful Tortolla. The house was spacious and comfortable with spectacular views. Sam and her team were great communicators and very responsive. They worked with us to schedule a grocery delivery prearrival and even put them away. We had some internet issues which resulted in a quick turnaround on a new modem. We enjoyed cooking in and the kitchen had a nice array of tools to do that. We also enjoyed some great meals out as recommended by the team. The island had some challenging hills and driving but that is part of the beauty. Overall the house is stunning and the support team before and during was outstanding.

Solaria, a wonderful villa

The villa is very well appointed, lots of room and the views, truly amazing. The pool was always cool and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked often. For Thanks giving we had a grouper stuffed with lobster we procured locally. Started relaxing the moment we arrived. Very secluded and private.

The villa exceeded expectations

This was our first trip to Tortola and we spent a lot of time comparing the various villa options. After selecting Solaria, our expectations were high and we were still amazed. First of all, I want to give a shout out to the property management team (Sam, Sharlene & Roseline) who made sure every aspect was perfect. They assisted with the car rental and we were met at the car rental office and escorted to the villa. The villa itself was exactly as pictured on the website. In addition to the spectacular views, the villa had a feel of a property that was well maintained with a lot of thought going in to make sure the visitors enjoyed their experience. All 3 bedrooms were lovely so it is perfect for couples. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, nice glassware, cooking equipment. The pool deck had plenty of chairs and loungers for everyone. We had Chef Ken come in and cook for us one night - I highly recommend that - what a treat. We also used Eric's taxi service to take us to dinner a couple of times so we didn't have to navigate the windy roads at night. We highly recommend this villa and will definitely rent it when we visit Tortola in the future.
