The Space:
Upon entering the property, you’ll be welcomed into the bright and spacious living and dining area. The living space features a large comfy sofa, and two armchairs. It’s the perfect cosy nook to get lost in a good book, watch the TV or simply relax with your loved ones.
Featuring a large dining table, a wooden bench and five dining chairs, there is ample seating for your whole party to enjoy meals together in the dining area.
Head outside from the dining area and there is a well presented rear yard. With a corner sofa and a dining table, this space is ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or alfresco meals, a real rarity for a property in Whitby.
Back inside and you’ll find the fully equipped kitchen which has modern appliances and cookware so you can make the most of your self-catering stay.
The property boasts four bedrooms. The first, second and third bedrooms can be found on the first floor and a further bedroom can be found on the second floor.
On the first floor, you’ll find a double bedroom, a bunk room and a single bedroom which make Hutton House particularly family friendly.
The family bathroom has a bathtub at one end of the room, along with a large shower, WC and basin.
The master bedroom is located on the second floor and has an ensuite shower room and a comfy super king size bed. Each bedroom at Hutton House benefits from premium bed linens and plush bedding.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Full details will be sent to you prior to check in.
Please note that the fireplace at Hutton House is gas fired.
The Neighborhood:
Hutton House is located just off Skinner Street in Whitby and you’ll find restaurants, shops and pubs less than a 10-minute walk away.
The house is located on the West side of Whitby. You’ll be able to revel in the nostalgic seaside charm - head to the arcades or explore the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.
Venture over the swing bridge and you’ll reach the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
You’ll find restaurants, pubs and shops just a short walk from Hutton House.
Whitby train station is a short walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
