Now popular with visitors all year round, Whitby is well-known for its sandy beach and fantastic seafood, all of which can be enjoyed no matter what the weather! Whether you're visiting for a romantic retreat, seaside fun, walks along the coast, or dining in quality restaurants, you’ll find that Whitby has it all. As you make your way inland either on foot or by car, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking moorland vistas surrounding upland villages such as Goathland, Danby and Castleton.
Getting Around:
Whitby train station is just a short 10-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
