„Went up to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. Both youngest kids had a half hour drive from Ferris State University. My oldest had to work in Big Rapids. My parents live an hour and ten minutes away. Perfect location on the lake to have a small gathering for a day. Hiking trails nearby. Spent a night alone in the peaceful morning waking up to a beautiful lake and breeze. Plan to return. “

„Yes, the property is small but there is room outside to enjoy the view. One big cavet .. in my opinion, this is a summer property. The floor is concrete and there is no central heading. The owner has a few rugs on the floor and a large space heater. It takes a good hour to heat the space. We left early as we were there in mid-October. The person who cleans it is lovely and very communicative. We would go again only in summer. “

„We had a wonderful time at this Sand Lake house. Everything was perfect from the impeccably decorated home to all of the amenities. Being right on the lake is wonderful, and Sand Lake is not too far from other destinations like Grand Rapids and Lake Michigan. (Would recommend The Forager for lunch or dinner which is only 10-15 mins from the house.) We rented the boat which made it extra special. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a family getaway. “

„The campground is being updated as it used to be a church camp. Cabin #1 is a cinder block cabin with 3 bedrooms, one shower/toilet/sink room and a common area for relaxing and eating. It was well decorated and comfortable. It has A/C and a couple fans. They thought of everything when they updated this place. The building with the restrooms is also a comfortable place to play games or watch movies. We were able to kayak and enjoy the river easily. We are looking forward to coming back again.“

No need to make calls during the week because something was not working or had broke. Fall colors where peak, playing golf on the Royal was superb, and kayaking on Lake of the Clouds magical. „We stayed in late October over Halloween and the conditions were perfect for this time of year! We didn’t get out on the water but we did enjoy the sound of wind in the trees and we saw a few deer including some baby deer eating wild berries right in the back yard so that was awesome. The cabin was very cozy and kept us warm even when the temperature took a dive overnight. Definitely would recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place to get away from the Trick or Treaters 😂“

„This home was very comfortable for our family. Our 4 year old grandson loved running around the property exploring, fishing, catching frogs, having a fire, etc. The location is private and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The kayaks and canoes were great to get out on the lake for fishing. The lake neighbors were mostly quiet, a few speed boats periodically but not intrusive. Overall a great retreat for us!“

„I think this is our best rental we have stayed at in Michigan. There are places that say they are right on something. Both of these cottages that are there to rent are right on the river. it is really nice to find somewhere you really want to go back to , and this is that kind of stay. Dave is super nice and the care of the places really shows.“
