This tropical apartment, hosted by Island guest services with owners Matt & Susan, boasts breathtaking sea views of Dent and Plum Pudding Islands. Unwind on the spacious deck and enjoy spectacular sunsets in this peaceful island paradise. Just a short walk or scenic buggy ride takes you to Front Street shops, vibrant restaurants, and the marina, perfectly positioned for both relaxation and exploration, offering the best of both worlds for a memorable stay.

The space

Step outside and immerse yourself in the tropical Island surroundings, just a short buggy drive away awaits the vibrate front street marina, featuring takeaway food outlets cafes, bakery and world class restaurants (ranging from chef hatted to casual dining), Livey pub, boutique retail stores, and the iconic Bommie deck Yacht club. With everything you need just a short Buggy trip away.


This spacious, two-level apartment is the perfect getaway for families or groups of friends, offering stunning views and plenty of room to relax. With three generous bedrooms and two bathrooms, this self-contained apartment is designed for comfort. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing meals during your stay, making it the perfect base for a memorable vacation.


Guest services provide essential items like toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwashing supplies, and more. You may even find some extra pantry items left by previous guests for your convenience.


A sofa bed is available in the lounge area for 7–8 guests or children, and linen is provided when booking for more than six guests.

A porta cot is also available (please bring your own linen).


For added convenience, once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a thank-you email with information and a link to a JotForm. This will ask for details like your driver's license, arrival and departure times, bedding information, and buggy use agreement, all to help guest services prepare for your stay and ensure your buggy access on the island. A valet service is included, offering transportation to and from the airport.


Don’t pay an extra $100+ per day for a buggy rental at other accommodations – ours is included in the price, available for your entire stay!

Guest Access:

Check-in: Guest services will meet you at the airport baggage area or marina dock. They’ll assist with your luggage and guide you to the apartment in your buggy, where you’ll receive the keys.

Things to Do:

When you’re not soaking in the stunning sunsets and views, Hamilton Island has plenty to offer. From restaurants, bars, and shops to a beauty salon, massage services, and an IGA supermarket, there’s no shortage of things to explore.

Island resort facilities include resort pools are for all on Island guest enjoy, beach activities like paddleboarding, catamarans, or snorkeling gear can be hired at the Water Sports Centre on catseye beach. You can also book off-island activities using the Hamilton Island app. We recommend making restaurant reservations early, as spots tend to book up quickly.

Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this apartment is the perfect spot to enjoy everything Hamilton Island has to offer!

Guest access

Upon arriving by flight or ferry to Hamilton Island, you will be greeted by our guest Valet service team, who will escort you to the apartment. On your departure/ checkout, the Valet team will once again assist, taking you to your chosen departure point.
Other things to note
Once we receive your booking, we will send you a confirmation message, followed by a JotForm that must be completed and returned prior to your arrival. This form ensures that the valet service is prepared to greet you upon your arrival.

It is important that these forms are submitted to well in advance, so please make sure to return them as soon as possible. Additionally, there will be a Vehicle Letting Agreement for the use of the buggy, please note, without these completed forms, we cannot guarantee the use of buggy and your stay running smoothly.

Important Notice:

Hamilton Island regularly conducts maintenance on various properties, including landscaping, road/path repairs, pool maintenance, and asset upgrades. Some areas may be closed during scheduled maintenance. Similarly, Compass Point may undergo necessary upgrades or maintenance at times, but all works are carried out in accordance with Hamilton Island policies to minimize disruption to guests. Rest assured; Compass Point 10 will not be undergoing internal maintenance during your stay, unless emergency,

What an amazing place to stay, relaxing with a stunning view. This holiday home as everything you could wish for, it is a home from home. The pick up and drop off service is fabulous and to have the use of a buggy for the entire stay was an absolute blessing. Fantastic Hamilton Escape
Great property in a superb location. Views from the deck great, host communication and entire process excellent. Use of a buggy is a massive bonus. Valet service was great. Really enjoyed our first trip to Hamilton Island and would highly recommend this unit.

The property was great for our party of 6. The kitchen was well appointed and the buggy was awesome. Our only downside was the hot water. It was sporadic at best. We had to boil the kettle for the dishes and showers turned cold really quickly.

Perfect spot!
Our family of five spent five nights at Compass 10 over the Easter holidays. Communication with the Manager from booking was efficient and timely. Check in and out was super easy, we were met at the airport with our buggy on arrival. Everyone loved the buggy, we had to hire a second one as they only fit 4 and half the fun of Hammo is burning around in the buggies. The main living area or the apartment is upstairs, making the most of the views, downstairs are the bedrooms and bathrooms with a small veranda off the main room. Still has a view but not as good as upstairs. The views from the balcony are amazing, better than the photos online. The kitchen was well equipped and we made several meals using the bbq on the balcony while the (very bold) cockatoos watched us with interest. We have been to Hammo several times before and it never disappoints. We will be back!

Wonderful Family Holiday!
Hamilton Island was the first stop on our family trip to Australia and Compass Point 10 set the standard very high. From being picked up at the airport to leaving via the ferry we felt like we had landed in paradise. The property was spotless and spacious with spectacular views. It has everything you could possibly need and is an amazing location. Recommendations for One Tree Hill sunset was much appreciated - it was stunning. We traveled as a family of 5 adults but didn’t find any issues with the 4 seater buggy - the island is such a beautiful place to travel around making 2 trips was never a problem. We had some lovely meals at Manta Ray and Coca Chu. Day trips out to the Whit Sundays and Reef World were well organised and lots of fun. We used both companies Explore and Cruise Whitsundays. A big thankyou to Matthew and his team for making everything so easy for us - can’t wait to return!!!

The Family Getaway to Paradise
Hamilton Island is one of the great places to holiday and it was made so much more enjoyable as a result of staying at Compass Point 10. Our hosts, their lovely dwelling and all the communication meant the planning and our expectations were spot on. The house was clean and ready for our arrival. Seamless Stay
Perfect size and location for a family of 5. The home had everything we needed to make it a great holiday. Highlights included the central pool, the kitchen to cook some meals, board games to keep the kids busy, and of course the Buggy to get around the island. Do note, if you're a family of more then 4 you won't all fit in the buggy and one adult will need to walk up and down very steep hills - wasn't a concern for us, but worth knowing.

Where to start? The host's kind and helpful communications or the beautiful, impeccably kept and well stocked home or the convenience and grandness of it all over our 5 night stay? Let me point-form it all: (*) First and foremost, Matt and his family have not only opened up their incredible home with a generous spirit, but the communications were over and beyond hospitable! They were family-like and ensured a fuller holiday for us newbies! (*) Generous modern home, incredibly ideal location and not wanting for anything. Huge store of kitchen items, slept 7 of us comfortably. Everything as described and then some! (*) Views undersold by photos - this place is in the perfect location away from the resorts yet 150m to main strand, mariner and all facilities. The views have to be seen in person to be believed and appreciated! Wow! (*) Valet pick up and handover was seamless and oh so helpful, with this being our first time to Hamilton Island. (*) Buggy is modern and carried us easily and safely all around the Island (2× since 7 of us LOL), on a day's charge with plenty to spare pre nightly plug in. (*) Beds were comfortable, lounge was perfectly positioned and the dining table vast for any family! Plenty of stocked board games and TVs allow for kids wind-down. (*) Bathrooms were clean and wonderful, with water always hot enough for 7! All sheets, coverings and household items are thought of and supplied. (*) Location, Location, Location allowed us to launch to everywhere!

Great for family with room for a couple of extras
We were a family of four. Each child brought a friend and there was plenty of space. The view from the Deck is excellent and the sunsets are magic. The kitchen is well equipped. The house comes with one buggy which seats a maximum of four. This meant we had to do two trips for many outings but there is also a bus not far away and the walk down to the marina is fine (but uphill on the way back). I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We had a fantastic time. There’s lots to do for everyone. Having the buggy was an absolute must and also made it fun. We enjoyed afternoon beverages on the veranda overlooking the islands. Amazing view although can get hot in afternoon as west facing and no blind on right side to block sun. It was handy having 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. They were all of a good size. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was good and had everything we needed. Overall we had a great time.

Perfect location close to everything.
We were greeted at the airport by our valet and golf buggy. Taken to the accomodation which was spacious and had everything we needed. The living area was upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. The views from the balcony were awesome. Walking distance to shops and to one tree hill. The area is very hilly so you need some level of fitness but would recommend this place to everyone. Thankyou to Matt, the host, who addressed some minor issues after our arrival.
