„I'm not sure if Washington stayed here but he definitely was nearby. 18th century building certainly has the post colonial vibe. Tall ceilings, old staircase, lots of woodwork. The inn seems to be in varying degrees of remodel. I was intrigued by the "spa" part of "inn and spa" so I booked a room then was informed that the spa in the basement had flooded so no spa treatments. I love old historic hotels and inns but this one could use a bit more updating. I had room #1, the first room on the left ...

„Die Unterkunft versprüht 80-er Jahre Charme. Wenn man sich bei google-earth nicht die Lage anschaut vermitteln die Bilder als ob das Hotel etwas im Wald liegt. Dem ist nicht so. Es liegt auf der Spitze von 2 Hauptstrassen. Lärm ist aber noch ok.“

„Would have gotten almost all 5 stars if they had taken the time to plow or shovel the parking lot as people left. Had to walk through 4 - 6 inches of snow to get in and out of the car with my stuff. That's hard for a 67 year old woman with arthritis. Staff was especially helpful once inside. Very pleasant which is why I chose to stay there on my return trip home. Will stay there again. “

„A classy old hotel with an excellent restaurant on the premises. Staff called us to confirm our check-in time. The location was right on the main street in the village, with a great bookstore a few doors down, as well as other businesses. We would definitely stay there again.“
