Great private home in the mountains
My friend and I met at this property halfway in between our homes for a long weekend. It was remote, extremely clean and close to so many options for hiking, shopping, wineries and eateries. The host was fantastic with an early check in and helpful suggestions for places to go and things to do. The deck is full sun, so if going in the winter, you will have to wait until early evening, but its so peaceful!

Cute Cabin. Great location
Cabin is stocked with everything you need and more. Spacious. Outdoor area is superb. Hot tub was perfect. Beds weren’t very comfortable but we were so tired from hiking we quickly didn’t notice. Would definitely stay again and have recommended to multiple friends already.

Great stay
Wonderful stay in a great, comfortable house. The morning sunrise from the back deck was beautiful. The house was convenient to restaurants in Front Royal, hiking in Sky Meadows and Shenandoah River State Park and the northernmost entrance of Skyline Drive. The gravel road to the house was steeper than expected, but not a problem with AWD. Would definitely stay again next time we're in the area.

Love the house so much wanted to stay an extra night, great comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, the house and the deck was just wonderful. I give it a five star excellent excellent place to stay. Just make sure you have a good Subaru vehicle to hike up the hill.... Would love to stay here again....

Perfect Getaway
We wanted a quick and easy weekend getaway and this house was perfect. Hot tub, firepit, gas and charcoal grill, location near trailhead. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed for making meals. The house had plenty of space for my family. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. It was a short drive to the national park. It was thoughtful of the host to leave firewood and tea and coffee.

Fantastic retreat
The home was perfect… kitchen is really well stocked with dishes and utensils etc. Very nice decor too. Just a few items to note- there were no washcloths and the kitchen garbage can fills up quickly so we had a lot of bags accumulated in the laundry room since there are no outside containers, due to wildlife around! Definitely recommend this home!

Cozy cabin great for friends retreat
The cabin is really adorable and so cozy! It’s only 10 minutes from the Shenandoah park entrance and so many cute shops and restaurants. There’s also two wineries within a 5 minute drive. The host was great and very responsive and even recommended some really good restaurants for our stay. We stayed in March so it was perfect hot tub weather and the hot tub was very clean and well maintained. Overall, a great property. The only downside was a lack of what I’d call “basics” like washcloths, extra toilet paper, and paper towels, but you can easily pick those up because you’ll want to do a grocery run beforehand. There were lots of towels so no issue there. Overall a great stay!

Overall great experience. The property was clean and well kept. Mostly everything was newly renovated recently. Kitchen and bathroom was clean and modern. Overall no complaints. However it wasn’t as secluded as we hoped with multiple houses/properties very close by.

Great place to gather with friends for a quick weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the location close to Front Royal and the wineries we visited. The kitchen is well equipped and included coffees/teas for our enjoyment. We enjoyed the use of the fireplace with wood provided. The beds/bedding were very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were updated and hand/bath towels were provided, however, we only had one wash cloth provided. We were not able to use the hot tub as they had just drained, cleaned and refilled it with water so it didn't get back up to temperature while we were there. Overall a great place.

Relaxing And Restful Stay
We had a very nice stay at this property and wish we had booked it for a few more days. Location is perfect, close to the entrance of the National Park. The house is on a quiet street surrounded by nature; it had everything we needed and is very cozy. We loved sitting out on the large deck drinking our morning coffee and listening to the birds. Definitely recommend!

House was perfect for 6 of us spending 3 days in the area. Minutes from downtown Front Royal and close to all the outdoor activities including Shenandoah Park, the Appalachian trail, tubing and caverns. Firepit, two grills and a hot tub made evening nights in really enjoyable. House is clean, stocked with everything you need and in a quiet location. Greg was responsive and a great host.

Great spot for a weekend in the mountains
Everything was as advertised. What the property lacks in mountain views (due to trees), it makes up for by being well-stocked, remote/quiet, but close to some great spots in the Shenandoah. Be sure to eat at Houndstooth for dinner, the incredible restaurant at Glen Gordon Manor. It is not cheap, but it is well worth it.
