GRIZZLY HIDEAWAY - A Serene & Private Lake Community Home!

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation you have found it at the Grizzly Hideaway! This beautiful cottage offers 4 bedrooms and tons of space for your family getaway. The private backyard can be enjoyed by two separate decks, and a lower patio. The treed area behind this cottage is a great place for kids to be able to explore and play and leads down to the private access area where you will find both the tennis courts and the private beach/marina area. You will be given access to this beautiful private beach with a pass card when booking the home. This home is indeed air conditioned for those hot summer days to make a great retreat from the sun!

We allow up to 12 people to stay at this cottage (6 people at base nightly price and then a charge per person after that.). There are 4 bedrooms total and each have a queen size bed, as well the common area in basement has 2 full size futons, and there is a single pullout couch in one bedroom that sleeps one person comfortably. We have a few single sleeping mats, and a large queen mattress in upstairs closet as well.

For the sake of our future guests and the wear and tear of our home we do not allow shedding pets in the home.

Family Get Away
We had a very nice stay a Grizzly Hideaway with a house full of teenagers and Grandparents! The house was spacious and comfortable for all of us! Enjoyed walks at night down to the private beach for a swim. The AC in the master bedroom was awesome! Would recommend this place if you want a stay in a quiet neighborhood with the comforts of home.

Forest Getaway meets Lake Living!
My family and I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! We hope to come back again and highly recommend this property especially to young families. The property is nicely tucked away in the trees so it feels quite secluded and private despite being on a street with perhaps a dozen other properties. The property backs on to the ravine which leads to numerous paths, great for walking and mountain biking! There are also tennis courts just a few minutes away!! It’s about a 15 minute walk to the beach and an easy drive if you have a lot of things to haul (which we did for our group of 6). The private beach was fairly well maintained (cleaned for seaweed and the sand raked as well). The beach also has a large green space to sit and play in with a playground and several bbqs and picnic tables. There is also a section of the beach dedicated to bring your dog if you have one. The house was perfect, spacious enough with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, clean enough and fairly well stocked. It’s only a 5 minute drive from a grocery store and 10 minutes from the main downtown area. Highly recommend to anyone staying here to go to Hopkins Harvest 3minutes south on Hwy 93, especially Thursdays when they are restocked or on weekend evenings for pizza!!

Impressive home away from home
We recently stayed at the Grizzly Hideaway in July 2024. Our family group had 3 generations who ranged in age from 2-78 and we were all comfortable in the home, as there were 4 bedrooms with double beds (very comfortable beds, too!) and 3 bathrooms. The temperature reached 36 degrees and we appreciated the A/C! We were impressed by the owner's attention to detail- there were many extras, and the kitchen was very well stocked with small appliances, dishware, cookware, etc. We prepared almost all our meals there and found everything we needed to do so, as it was all neatly labeled and easy to find. In the rest of the house there were extra pillows, blankets, games, puzzles, and outside was a trampoline, a swing, and a small zipline. We loved the extra large TV in the basement where we watched some FIFA and Stampede. We enjoyed the access to the private beach. There are shade trees and the water there is so much cleaner than at the Invermere Kinsman public beach, and, of course, much less crowded. Remember to bring water shoes as the rocky beach is tough on feet! While it is possible to walk there, the path is steep and would be very difficult to manage while carrying children, towels, chairs, beach toys, etc. We appreciated the parking pass! While in Invermere, we would recommend Kicking Horse Cafe- great coffee and we tried their matcha chocolate as well. The Black Forest Steak and Schnitzel Haus was excellent, and we enjoyed exploring the little shops in the downtown area.

One of largest houses in the area with reasonable price
We stayed in the house for 3-nights with two other families for a Christmas ski trip. The house is enough to accomodate 10 people (3 couples and 4 young adults). Boys used the finished basement for their fun down there - watching movie on the large TV and doing fellowships since they went to different colleges. Going to Sobeys and Panorama Ski Hills is fairly easy. We have stayed in Invermere (on the west side of the lake) before but found staying closer to Windermere (on the east side of the lake) is better. Because of being close Highway 93, getting in-and-out is easier - no need to drive through the downtown traffic. The house is large and quiet. The floor plan is very practical. The entry has a vaulted ceiling and is very impressive upon entering the house. It seems the host had a successful renovation. Enjoyed the new stone counter-tops everywhere. Will try to stay in the house for the summer vacation to enjoy those outdoor features (yard furnitures, BBQ, large veranda at the front and deck on the back, the beach, etc). The host had provided enough glasses to enjoy wines. Lots of serenity can be enjoyed in this house for its size, distance from the neighbors. Will also consider renting the house again for the next year's ski vacation.

Wonderful weekend in Invermere!
We had a family trip to Invermere and this house was perfect. It had absolutely everything we needed and then some. There was a swing and trampoline for the kids, along with a variety of games inside including a ping pong table. There was lots of space for our big group and additional mattresses if we needed them. The kitchen was fully stocked! Tyson was very responsive when we had any questions. Our family would love to come back!

Amazing Stay for Family Groups!
The house was comfortable and roomy for both of our families of four and had everything we needed. The kids had a blast playing ping pong in the basement, jumping on the trampoline and with the swings out front. Overall it was a great location just a short walk to the tennis and basketball courts, and a short drive to many great golf courses. The private beach was great and nice to have the parking pass to drive with all of your gear instead of walking. Would definitely come back again. Thank you Tyson!

The stay in Invermere was great. It was as the listing described it. The location was good close to the town and beach (by car). You can also walk to the private beach (about 20mins). The kids really enjoyed the trampoline. We were two families and were very comfortable.
