Situated on our farm, The Lodge consists of modern open plan living, a generous and well-appointed kitchen, spacious bathroom with two country styled queen rooms perfect for up to 2 couples (a baby up to 12 months is also welcome) wanting to get away from it all. Located just 2 hrs from Perth, close to the Wellington National Park and within 16km to Collie and all it offers, Crystal Valley Lodge is a magical spot to spend a couple of days away from the daily grind. The building is very well insulated and has an oil heater for taking the chill out of the air in winter and also fans in all rooms.
Outside on the covered south facing verandah we have a small BBQ and outdoor seating to sit and enjoy the birdlife and soak up the views over your morning cup of tea or coffee from our Nespresso coffee machine which is provided for guests enjoyment. A private fire pit has been created for our guests to enjoy in fire season.. It’s a fantastic spot to waste away the afternoon in the cooler months.
you can walk through the forest on our doorstep. St David's Church is just a 2km walk and holds a plethora of interesting and historical items.
The Lodge is located within our home compound but is private. There is ample space for parking in a shared driveway that accesses our sheds.
NO DOGS ALLOWED. The closest kennel is Bimbimbie at the bottom of the Collie Hill (approx 25 km away)
Things to do during the day....
Bird watchers will love this area as we have many different bird species on the farm including the famous Splendid Wrens, whistlers, thornbills, spinebills, fantails and also a large group of Red Tail Black Cockatoos as well as the native geese and ducks.
There are fantastic walking and riding tracks everywhere in the forest close to us. If you are keen, you can ride to the Arklow and Wambenger Trails north of Collie.
We have created three walking trails from the farm. They are well signed and include the historic spur line to the old mill.
You can walk to the historic Worsley Church "St Davids" and also water skiing is permitted on nearby Stockton lake. You can kayak on Wellington dam and enjoy a coffee, lunch and now a beer or wine at the Wellington dam Kiosk (licensed). The new mural is fantastic at the dam and is a sight to behold.
We are just a 20 minute drive from the Ferguson valley and about the same from Harvey and 15 mins to Collie. All areas have interesting things to do on your break. For reference, The Farm is on Mundabiddi map 3b on the Dwellingup leg, approx 5 kms past the old Collie loop turnoff. (Worsley Back Road - Gastaldo Road intersection closest corner)
Walk down to Dodge dam at dusk and relax with a glass of wine. Watch the cattle and sheep graze in the paddocks.
