Welcome to Langseth Lodge!

Langseth Lodge, a year-round cabin rental, is located on the shores of Lake Ocheda just outside Worthington, MN and offers a quiet, peaceful getaway for your family vacation or event.

Langseth Lodge is a great place to relax and unwind. Lake Ocheda is a rather shallow lake and is therefore great for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and floating on an inner tube. Lake Okabena, just several miles away, is perfect for boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, and windsurfing. Lake Okabena also offers great opportunities for fishing and ice fishing.

We stayed there overnight during our move across the country. Paul was extremely helpful, I really can't say enough of his help in relieving some of the stress of our move. Wish we could have stayed for a couple of days.

Family get together
There were 4 of us and we all LOVED it! The scenery was beautiful! The house was perfect. Enjoyed time by the fire and the water. Beautiful sunsets. Was able to catch an eagle flying over. Paul (the owner) was the best. He even came got a fire going for us when we got home from our outing for the day. Can’t say enough about this VRBO.

A quick stay with a beautiful view
We had the pleasure of staying one night while we were in town for a vet appointment. Wish it could have been longer! Paul was so generous - built a fire in the fireplace, gave us a tour, and warmly welcomed my younger son and our 2 dogs. We had such fun walking the private beach and looking for rocks. Plenty of space for us all in this peaceful, quiet location. It was pretty chilly, so we didn’t spend much time outdoors, though we’re wishing we could have taken advantage of the fire pit on the beach! We’ll have to come back in the summer!

LOVE IT
The cabin is beautiful and the lakefront is even more beautiful then the pictures portray. I love the wood stove and the host started a fire outside and inside for us. He was so kind and pleasant! 5 Stars and definitely coming back!

Weekend Family Getaway
My sisters and our families stayed at the Langseth Lodge! It did not disappoint. Plenty of room for all of us (10 people). The kids loved playing on the beach and running in the grass. We had a fire both nights. It was so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Wonderful private property on the lake.
We had a wonderful family gathering at the lodge. During the day we had 20+ family members of all ages. Although we did not have a lot of rain this season, the lake was still up to the beach. The lake is awesome for swimming and kayaking. It’s only about 5 feet deep at its deepest, and stays shallow for a long ways which was wonderful for the younger kiddos. The lake has a soft muddy bottom with no weeds. We did bring a few camp chairs, but there is a ton of seating around the campfire, by the house and by the lake. You definitely don’t need to bring firewood. Paul supplies plenty. The inside of the lodge has lots of beds and seating. Air conditioning units upstairs and downstairs kept it very comfortable. There are plenty of plates, bowls pots, pans, strainer, mixing bowls, and utensils. There is a handicap accessible bathroom on the main floor. The extra seating space in the add-on room was wonderful. Paul stopped by a few times to see if we needed anything and take the garbage. We always felt very welcome and like this was our home away from home.

Family Getaway!
We had a wonderful time staying at the Lodge. Very relaxing, gorgeous views, and thankfully had nice weather. Paul was very accommodating and we were so thankful we could bring our dog. The four season room was under construction, which was no biggie since we only had 4 people, but will be very nice when done to bring back more of the family...and they may want to invest in a new grill :)

Scenic Getaway near Round Lake Vineyard
We stayed at Paul's cabin as we were doing a tasting for our upcoming wedding this summer through Round Lake Vineyard. Paul's place was close, convenient, and a beautiful view! If you have a family gathering and are looking for plenty of space to unwind and relax, this is the place for you! The weather was overcast/cloudy when we visited, but on a nice evening, we would have spend the entire evening out by the fire and lake. We were still able to enjoy and play cards with all the space inside.

Great Place to Unwind and Get Away
We had my friend’s bachelors party here, and it was quiet/relaxing to be able to get away from the world and just hang out in this comfortable home. Everything was clean and great, and the beds were fantastic! Will be staying again soon!

Great place for family gathering
Out of way lodge, so no-one to bother you, no noise except your own family. Dining room which is spacious was too cold to use during this time of year but the property owner will be making changes so that nice room can be used when it is cold outside. I loved the decor (woodsy) and that it had two bathrooms. Fireplace in the main lower level kept us warm and toasty. I would stay again, especially during a warm time of year since this property is on a lake and has an outside fire pit!

This was absolutely the most peaceful and beautiful rental we have had. The property was huge, it felt like being at a lakeside cabin that you call home. Would recommend it highly to anyone. Paul and Leanne are amazing hosts that truly make one feel welcomed.

Quiet and secluded
All the kitchen items you could ever need, plenty of sleeping spaces, and entertainment too, just bring your food and clothes and you are made. I wasn’t sure about the swimming capabilities of the lake- but it was warm and not full of algae. Nice sandy beach perfect for littles, house was amazing for a limited mobility person as the bedroom and. Atheism on the main with no steps to enter. All the firewood you could need, Wi-Fi was good too. Could have used a bit more space that was temp controlled to store our food items but- we made it work with our 7 person family just fine. Very attentive, friendly, and kind!

Paul and his wife were extremely courteous and very nice. They made sure we had everything we needed. They just put air-conditioning in which was great. It was a little more rustic than I would have liked it. However, I would recommend it for someone that loves life in the middle of nowhere. I will say though the lake was beautiful and the sunset was breathtaking! Thank you Paul and Leanne!
