We got to where the directions said to go, no homestay property there. After an hour of trying to find the place we found someone who could translate and call the homestay number on the email Expedia sent to me. This person said it was over there about a mile which she was nice enough to walk us over to. When we got there it was a hotel that knew nothing about the homestay property. I quickly called Expedia which took me an hour get to them and another 20 minutes to explain my situation. They then also called the number they had an there was no one who spoke English so they said wait for a translator which I did when tThey translator came on she couldn’t here me so she hung up. After that I callled Expedia 2 more time with no satisfaction. It took me over 4hours of phone calls no one ended up helping. In the end I had to pay 3 times as much for a 2 bed hotel because it was China’s National holiday.
The icing on the cake was that Expedia told me that I didn to cancel the the room so I was unable to get a refund. I was livid. After more emails and phone calls they finally refunded me. All in all because of Expedia’s coustomer service I am out over $300 extra for the extra cost of the hotel and cab fare, not to mention I wasted one whole night out of the 2 that I was staying trying to find a place to stay!
