Historisch bedeutet auch schiefe Fußböden, hohe Stufen und keine Doppelfenster, was tagsüber doch zu einer hohen Lärmbelästigung führt, da der Weg zu einem großen Parkplatz am Haus vorbeigeht. Nachts ist es ruhig. Das Haus ist größtenteils sauber. Die Möblierung in den Schlafzimmern ist auf das Nötigste beschränkt, so gibt es kaum Stühle, um Kleidung abzulegen. „We loved our stay at Holly Cottage, the kitchen is fabulously equipped, and house has a welcoming friendly decor. The kitchen and snug is a fabulous place to gather and where we spent a lot of our time. Parking at the property was easy, and plenty of room for our 2 cars - but with a car park just around the corner it would be easy with more vehicles. Lovely base to explore so many interesting places. Local cafe just acroos the road was great for bread and milk supplies. Nothing not to love ...

„This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area.“
