„The stay itself was great. As a self check in establishment, I had difficulty only because expedia/Hotels.com never sent me a check in email. It took me a while to get in touch with a staff member to forward the email so I could actually check in.“

„My wife and I travelled to Old Forge for a weekend in snow country. Our stay at the Guide Cottage served our needs well. It was clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance of downtown. Although not fancy, it had everything we needed at a very reasonable price. “

„House was great , very clean and updated. Sleeping was all in one big room, beds were very comfortable. Parking with snowmobile trailer was a little tight, but it worked out ok. I would stay here again. “

„We had a wonderful stay in this cottage in Old Forge. Driveway was plowed so it was easy for us (2 trucks) to park. Cottage was very nice, this was our 2nd stay there. Directions for use of items in the cottage were listed and posted. We look forward to a 3rd stay next year! “

„Beautiful cottage. Great combination of rustic / modern appointments. Very well equipped and dog friendly. We absolutely loved having our girl there with us for the weekend. The property is absolutely serene and stunning. Pictures do not even do it justice. We were able to snowshoe the trails on the property. It was an absolute winter wonderland. In addition to all of this, two of the best hosts I’ve met in my history of renting VRBO / Airbnb type properties. Carol and Dan are extremely kind, ...

„Could have been a 5 star rating but:1. we had to shovel 5 inches of snow from walkway and deck to get in the house2. Very small amount of toilet paper. Had to go to the store the first evening we arrived. 3. The request to leave an empty dishwater, beds stripped, garbage removed AND to take with us, and floors vacuumed and swept was a bit much. The house is very cute, comfortable and in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. “
