What you can expect

Gettysburg is a borough and the county seat of Adams County in the US state of Pennsylvania. The Battle of Gettysburg (1863) and President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address are named for this town. The town hosts visitors to the Gettysburg National Battlefield in the Gettysburg National Military Park.

Gettysburg National Military Park

The Gettysburg National Military Park protects and interprets the landscape of the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War. The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966. Many of the park's 43,000 American Civil War artefacts are displayed in the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Centre. It features a new park Visitor Centre, the 24,000 square foot Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War, a new gallery to display the restored Cyclorama Painting, two theatres for a new 22-minute film.
