Das erwartet dich

Navigiere durch die Wasserwege zwischen den Barriereinseln der Ria Formosa vor der Küste von Olhão und entdecke ein Naturparadies. Genieße eine tolle Aussicht auf die Farol Bar und den Leuchtturm Santa Maria auf der Insel Farol. Halte zum Mittagessen in dem Fischerdorf Culatra, in dem etwa 1.000 Menschen leben und das über Geschäfte, eine Schule, eine Kirche, eine Arztpraxis und sogar einen eigenen Fußballplatz verfügt. Genieße den frischen Fisch in einem typischen Restaurant oder mach ein schönes Picknick am Strand.

Weiter geht es zur Insel Farol, wo du einen weiteren 30-minütigen Stopp einlegst, um die Natur zu genießen. Auf dem Rückweg nach Olhão kommst du an mehreren Thunfischfabriken und dem Fischereihafen vorbei. Du siehst ein größeres Gebiet der Ria Formosa als die meisten anderen Touren und profitierst vom Fachwissen deines Skippers, um mehr über die Flora und Fauna zu erfahren.

Nice trip to the islands. Could have done with a bit longer at each place. We spent about 45 minutes killing time being shown around a fishing port, when we could have had longer either at one of the stops or on the Ria itself

It was nice but not enough time on the islands. On Culatra you have 1,5 hour but the to get to beach and back takes 40 minutes ( took the normal ferry a few days later was cheap and stayed there all day ) on the second beach you have a half an hour barely enough to enjoy a drink. The rest of the time you are on the boat.

De uitleg(een bandje dat afgespeeld werd) was slecht verstaanbaar. De tocht zelf was leuk, de bezochte eilandjes vielen wat tegen : korte tijd daar, niet veel verschillend van de rest van de kust behalve dat het vlak was. Dus goed voor een snelle duik in het water of een kort plaatselijk horecabezoek. Gids deed wel goed zijn best en was een aangename man.

: It's not a tour, it's a simple ferry at a very high price for what is offered. It's just transportation. They explain almost nothing to you nor about the islands nor is there a guided tour above. They don't show you an animal, or any interesting curiosities. Really ugly, I really don't recommend it.

Amazing experience for the price. The stop in Culatra gave us plenty of time to grab some lunch and have a wander around. The stop in Armona wasn’t as long but still enough time for a little walk around or quick dip in the the sea, our guide was great, he did a couple of talks when there was something of particular interest to see but mostly left us to ourselves. The boat is basic but if you get a seat by a window you barely look inside the boat. For how cheap this tour is compared to the others advertised it is definitely worth it!
