"An average hotel pretending to be a luxury hotel, I've stayed at several Anantara properties. This by far would be the lowest rated of the lot. Located in a not ideal area. Not a nice beach and the lagoon is not particularly beautiful either. Service, especially in the main building and main restaurant, is inadequate in relation to the standards of an Anantara resort. The restaurant is like a waiting room in a train station and you constantly feel like a volunteer in a kindergarten. ...... There is no question of relaxed dining in a luxurious ambience here. No value for money! Maintenance on buildings are needed especially on the pool decks ……never saw a 5 star hotel neither any anatara in this bad shape. Fish smells from the head my regards to the poor management of the hotel….. totally overpriced hotel with poor facilities. We are very disappointed with this Anantara Resort because it does not have the usual standard and totally overpriced........ Travel 174 km south to Tangalle and check at Anantara peace heaven ! "
