„Kann die tollen Bewertungen auf der Website nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Es ist einiges sanierungsbedürftig und schon recht abgewohnt. Grundsätzlich aber sauber und in Ordnung. Hätte wir unser schon bei Buchung gezahltes (englisches) Frühstück nicht reklamiert, wären wir mit einem Croissant und einer Tasse Tee abgespeist worden. Die ganze Frühstücksatmospähre war insgesamt etwas seltsam, die Dame an der man nicht verbeikommt eher unwillig..“

„Ich habe kürzlich wiederum eine Nacht im Chricklade House Hotel in Cricklade verbracht und war wie immer begeistert. Das Hotel ist charmant und liegt traumhaft inmitten der Cotswolds und bietet viel Ruhe und eine entspannte Atmosphäre. “

„What a find! I booked at the very last minute - literally an hour or so before arrival - and feel I was very lucky to have chosen The Vale. The welcome was warm and friendly, the people are lovely, the room was a bijou but beautiful single (I was travelling as a lone lady with her dog) and spotlessly clean. „Beautiful hotel with all you could need on site. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are roomy with huge, comfortable beds and come equipped with iron, board and hairdryer which was a bonus. We had a lake view ground floor room and it was perfect for a romantic weekend away in the sunshine “

„The internet presence is far better than the actual property. The Junior Suite was filthy, the bathroom floor putrid. Booked a table for dinner at 8pm, the staff sat us but then never returned to the table. Went to the bar to order some drinks which were then served and at 8:10 the staff came to the table and asked us to quickly order as the kitchen was closing. Food was ok but nothing special. At 9:50 the staff brought us the bill and asked to settle it as they would be closing at 10pm. Paid ...

"I really really enjoyed my stay at the hotel! Its perfect place to get into the Cotswold, go on hikes or just relax. To the hotel do not expect a 5 star spa high-end hotel. This hotel has a lot of english charm which i loved!! My room just had one wardrobe with just 10 hangers ,so all the shirts and underwear stayed in the bags. Which is no problem for me but maybe a bigger wardrobe wouldake sense here. Great big bathroom, everything was clean and tidy 👍👌 You even have a samll SPA area with 1x sauna and a steam room and jacuzzi (you have to pay extra but its ok its holiday). i would definitely come again!"
