„We loved this place, after a lot of stress we wanted to find somewhere special to take our minds off of it all and here was a fantastic find! The spa, staff, food, location absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend and they upgraded us which was a treat (Thank you). It is a really special place and sometimes the deers flock at the front which was very pretty!“

„Beautiful wooden panels in reception and main staircase. Beautiful area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Massage and spa facilities were good. We had a massage and paid extra to use the spa. The only downfall was an uncomfortable bed. “

„Wonderful stay! Came for a long weekend with two small children. The room with an annex was perfect, everyone was very understanding of the kids needs. Perfect location - really felt magical to see the horses outside every time you step out of the property. Going to the “beach” just A few steps away was so perfect for my kids! Cons: the carpet in our room needed replacing and was badly fraying by the baseboards. The pool area needs a good updating but would be a beautiful space once renovated ...

„Very friendly and welcoming - lovely property and attached gastro pub - Dog friendly too. The only thing is I did let them know it was my husbands birthday and nothing was done at the hotel, or the pub for dinner - a small token wouldn’t have hurt.“

„I treated my mom to a weekend away at New Forest last weekend and we stayed at Cottage Lodge Hotel - the room was amazing, super clean and fantastically maintained. The hosts were super sweet and kind. The breakfast was exceptional!! A lot of information for routes around the forest and information for the village and nearby towns. We both look forward to returning back - I really can’t recommend this place enough. We loved absolutely everything!“

„Quaint cottage and staff were polite. The room we stayed in was nice and bright. There was a very bad damp problem in the en suite especially above the shower, not just on the ceiling but the shower sealant was all black and the bottom of the shower door had not even been cleaned of all the mould. The shower was very powerful and water hot. Skirting of the bedroom was missing exposing the gap between floor and ceiling. Although there was radiator heating the thermostat was loose and difficult ...

„Nice and quiet hotel 2,5 Miles away from the next town. Wild strolling animals in the new forest area are something special. The hotel was fine, rooms were clean -bath could be cleaner- and every day freshly made up. The bar/restaurant in the hotel had small good meals. We preserved several different locations to eat to change the taste. “

„We had a fabulous 3 night mid-week stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were attentive and really friendly and the food in the restaurant was exquisite. We had intended to find other places to eat during our stay but the food was so good here there was absolutely no point. I would highly recommend this hotel.“

„Das Haus hat in der Vergangenheit gute Bewertungen erhalten, was durchaus zutreffend gewesen sein mag. Die Lage ist toll, die Ausstattung grundsätzlich ebenfalls, es ist alles vorhanden was versprochen wird. Allerdings läßt der Pflegezustand und die Sauberkeit arg zu Wünschen übrig; teilweise sind auch die Mitarbeiter nicht so motiviert ihrer Arbeit nachzugehen wie man es erwartet. Im Zimmer war es NICHT sauber, die offensichtlichen Spinnweben schon verstaubt, diverse größere Staubansammlungen ...

Die Lage, die Lage, die Lage...

"Der Pool wird auch von Nicht-Hotel-Gästen genutzt. Die Garderoben und Duschen sind in einem unterirdischen Zustand. Das Frühstück ist gut. Die Hotelzimmer waren in einem guten, wenn auch teilweise stark gebrauchtem Zustand. Bäder sauber und teilweise neu renoviert. Die Lage des Hotels ist spitze."

"Lage toll. Schönes historisches Gebäude. Leider werden Sonderwünsche, auch wenn man diese vorher angekündigt hat, nicht erfüllt. Das Personal an der Rezeption zeigt auch keine Motivation, diese zu erfüllen. Erging leider nicht nur uns so. Sehr schade. Werden daher bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Bournemouth dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen."

"Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Schlafempore für die Kinder gebucht, die die beiden begeisterte. Vorsicht: die Treppe ist recht steil, für kleinere Kinder nicht gut geeignet. Das Zimmer war modern eingerichtet, in gutem Zustand und mit Kochzeile. Die Betten waren bequem, das Bad aber eher klein. Zudem störte am ersten Tag ein übler Gestank aus dem Abfluss der Dusche, was aber auf unsere Reklamation hin am Folgetag behoben wurde. Das Frühstück haben wir uns mitgebracht, der Kaffee von der Bar war teuer und ungenießbar. Sehr kleiner und enger Parkplatz, Vorausbuchung ist zu empfehlen. "
