„An overall nice place in a good location. Things were a little run down: the patio door would not lock and we were not able to use the oven because it would set off the smoke alarm. Otherwise, a comfortable place to stay for the weekend.“

„The location of the property is amazing. The views were great. I did feel I overpaid for the stay as the house was outdated and it had a old smell like the carpet hasn't been washed in a long time. The TVs in the house were ridiculous and don't function at all. The plumbing should be updated as well as the sink in the master bedroom did not work. Overall the location was amazing but that is all you are paying for. The house needs to be updated and cleaned properly.“

The house has everything one could need, including air conditioning and the convenience of being able to use a 6-seater golf cart! „My family and I had a great stay at Trout House! Perfect location, close enough to everything but far enough away for a quiet stay. Beds were comfy, used the very functional kitchen. The place is rustic but everything works well, awesome water pressure and love the history of the house. Great deck for relaxing after a day of exploring. We would definitely stay again!“

„Stayed with some friends over the weekend and had a great time. Very spacious, somewhat older house but still very beautiful and homey. Easy check in and easy to use the golf cart and everything else. Our only complaint was it does get warm even mid september with no AC. They provided fans which was great but something to think about if staying in summer months. Besides that it was a great stay! “

There were a few minor issues with property: the bottom drawer in oven doesn’t close properly, one of the knobs on the stove pops off, the downstairs bathroom and only one with a shower has a pocket door that sometimes closes and sometimes doesn’t stay closed & you cannot lock it, one of the chairs at table in livingroom is coming apart and needs repair before it actually breaks- (we put it aside and did t use). „Great location away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Spectacular view and unit was clean and tidy. Appreciated the use of the golf cart so we were able to explore the island. Our first and last stay!

"The location of the hotel was good, since it was close to Mainstreet and Harbour. The room was big and the beds fairly comfortable. It was generally clean. The room was located on street level, with a view of a big, ugly staircaise and the hotel golfcart parked in front of it. There was zero daily housekeeping, nobody ever came and checked the room during our 3-night-stay. This supposedly Deep Soaking bath tub was small, old and chipped plastic tub with old hardware that cut my hand trying to make it work. The hotel noted that it has a new owner and is under renovation. I think it needs to change a lot in order for it to get up to date and comfy. Overall the quality of the hotel compared to others we saw was not good for the rate they charged. Also the breakfast provided was Motel-6 level: all prepackaged snacks. No fresh tea water (it comes thru Keurig coffemaker), no fresh milk, fruit or bread. The girl at the reception was friendly, But we will definitely never return to this place!!! "
