„Given the restrictions of a very old property (grade 2 listed) they have done a good job updating yet not spoiling. A charming and comfortable stay.“

„Beautiful old building bursting with history, helpful and friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. Easy and free parking round the back. Only downside is the very steep stais to the second floor, worth bearing in mind for anyone with mobility issues.“

„We were the only guests Limited staff Despite being only guests we couldn’t extend our departure We had wanted to stay until closer to midday as we were attending a midday funeral but house keeping needed to clean room for later incoming guests In the end we sat in Costa to kill time“

„Have not stayed here for a few years, not a lot has changed, stilll amazing room, with walk in shower and huge, comfortable bed. Plus some nice extra touches in the room with upmarket décor and mini fridge The brasserie is not open Mon/Tues but the café offers evening meals that were fabulous. Delicious, fresh and a great selection. The staff were amazing as well, great service, friendly and superbly attentive. Will be looking to stay here again“

„Lovely staff Easy to park car Bed a bit too hard for me but slept ok Breakfast was lovely with a good choice. Slight issue with bar floor area which I noticed once pointed out was dealt with as best as could, before maintenance can sort “

„This is a busy country pub with great food and real ales. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, i will definitely stay here again.“

„Man wird von der netten Julie zusammen mit ihren zwei Schäferhunden begrüßt. Das Einzelzimmer ist recht groß und es gibt als "Freebie" 0,5l Wasser und Tee/Kaffe. Das Badezimmer muss geteilt werden, war für mich aber kein Problem, da ich als nicht Geschäftsreisender unter der Woche nach acht Uhr sowieso alleine war. Das engl. Frühstück ist üppig und Julie geht auf viele Wünsche ein.“
