„This is a comfortable quality establishment in a quiet location offering self catering facilities. Booking and access were straightforward and the Welcome Pack much appreciated. During our three night stay we visited National Trust Properties at Anglesey Abbey and the Wimpole Estate, both of which are within easy reach. „First time visit to England from US to visit my sister and nieces who live nearby in Upwell. We wanted a place with AC as we are a bit spoiled as americans when it comes to AC, and found this place near Ely on a fishing lake. It was an exceptional find, to say the least. Close to Ely, the shops and cathedral, and not a far drive to many other places, including Cambridge. The hot-tub was nice, setting beautiful, and hosts were excellent too. Email with key safe details sent an hour prior to check in, more ideal if possible to send a day before, I was informed when calling reception on arrival; hadn’t thought to check, lady on phone was very helpful. Two recommendations: Cabin is well equipped - but missing a small sieve, as partner got mild burn when draining pasta. Also, an option of a retractable cover over hot tub/outside sitting when it rains would be great as we were a little restricted ...

„This is the second visit to the lodge - I think that says plenty in itself. A lovely location, set up well, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and awesome fridge plus great hot tub and super walks to nearby pub for lunch. And if you prefer your exercise/chill nearer to base, then you can use the spa facilities at the golf club.We have recommended it to others and our intent is to return!“
