„The location is private. The cabin is nice. The towels are a little lacking. They were super thin and frayed. There is no ice maker so that would have been nice to know in advance. The internet is pretty slow. Were the tv not dependent on internet because it’s all streaming it wouldn’t be a problem. Hot tub was nice. “

„The peaceful setting high above the James was only interrupted by the infrequent passing freight trains across the river. The sunsets were colorful and the clear moonless nights burst with stars, especially looking up from the hot tub. The cabin was as advertised; comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen (pots, plates pans, utensils, etc). Central Air/Heat worked fine. „I stayed at this VRBO because of the proximity to my son who I was visiting. It was easy to get to, clean, quiet, comfortable, and I felt safe. It suited my needs perfectly. And it was close to multiple restaurant options in Zion Crossing. I would stay here again on future trips.“

„Second time ive stayed at the property. My children love it. Property owners are friendly.“

„Cute cozy cottage. Relatively clean. We were able to walk over the pool area and enjoy a drink before dinner. We had some issues with the microwave triggering the breakers. Annoying but the owners came right over to fix. They were very responsive to all questions. “

„Beautiful cottage, nicely decorated, very clean. I loved the pool! I had it all to myself. I would give it 5 stars if the mattresses were better. I think this is a place for older people without children so comfort of the beds os important. Otherwise I would recommend to friends and would return. “

„My family and I traveled to Powhatan for a wedding at The Mill at Fine Creek. The house and the town had such a beautiful small town vibe that was such a perfect place for us to hang out and get ready. We were able to enjoy the owners restaurant, which was right across the street, and an adorable coffee shop. There was also a great park nearby with walking trails and playground for the kids. We truly enjoyed our stay! “

„My wife and I were hosting out-of-town guests and family for our son's wedding in nearby Farmville. This turned out to be an ideal location. The host was always easy to reach for questions well in advance of our stay as well as during. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, plenty spacious, and great for meals for a larger group. While the nearby farmhouse is older, it has had some great updates (the kitchen is really well done) and it worked perfectly for the overflow of the several guests we had. ...

„We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the small home. It was a great location for a little getaway to see local historical sites. Cute garden outside the cottage. The living room was comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed. We didn't love the ac window unit being right above the bed. The tub is a bit challenging to get in and out of. The stairs to the bedroom are also a bit challenging. So if you have any physical limitations i wouldn't suggest this spot “

„We had a great stay at Germantown Cottage, a lovely, up-to-date and immaculate house with a convenient location close to downtown Farmville.The beds were very comfortable and the living area and porch were just right for our needs. The house was a great base for a visit to our kids and grandkids in Cumberland. Jessica and Parker were wonderful and thoughtful hosts. Very highly recommended.“
