„The place is good, and we had a good time in the area. The place is not right on the beach--it is about a 200 meter walk through the woods. The house is pretty remote, which can be a good thing, but every place we wanted to visit is at least an hour drive away. We did a lot of driving and spent a lot on gas. We wish we had stayed in Baddeck.“

„We enjoyed our stay at Sailor's Rest. So close to the oceanfront that we were lulled to sleep by the waves each night. A good location for exploring the grandeur of Cape Breton Island.“

„We checked in Friday afternoon went out Saturday morning got back Saturday night to find out there was no water the pump went in the well I called the owner Sunday morning and told him about it he apologized many times he also refunded half my money back within a few minutes the care taker had a couple of big jugs of water for me so I was able to stay until Monday morning it’s a nice place and if i had to rate the owner I would give him a 10 out of 10“

„The property had an amazing view. It had both indoor and outdoor furniture to make it relaxing. The only problem was how hot it was inside with no air conditioning. The big windows allow for a great view but also let in full sun during the whole day. Open windows and fans helped but only in the evenings. and no air conditioning“

„We had a wonderful relaxing time. After spending four days exploring the area, it was a treat to jump into the whirlpool. One evening counting the stars, the next listening to the waves crash against the stones as the sun was setting. Another enjoying the Ocean mist swirl around us, and our last evening as the moon rose above the tree tops, it's reflection shimmering on the water. „Saubere Unterkunft. Ausstattung wie beschrieben. Naturbelassen, Kolibris, Hasen, Squirrels, Weißkopfseeadler ua. Sehr schöne Lage am Wasser. Gute Internetverbindung. Superfreundliche Vermieter und sehr gute Kommunikation. Gute Lage zwischen St Peters, Port Hawkesbury und Isle Madame. Gerne wieder.“

„Wir waren begeistert. Ein helles, lichtes Holzhaus mit einem unsagbaren Blick in den Fjord. Unsere Vermieter waren immer für uns erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine Autopanne und Robert hat uns an einem Sonntag den Kontakt zu einem Freund hergestellt, der uns auch sofort geholfen hat. Danke an Heidi und Robert.“

„Central location odor Cape Breton and the central/coastal areas. Stunning place right on the lake. Sunrises and moonshine on the lake. Hosts are wonderful. Planning our next trip.“

„The house was quite nice overall. A little disappointing that the woodstove didn't work, especially as the weather was cool and wet. The water is quite soft, but tastes good; and the water heater works fine. We spent a chilly first night as the baseboard heaters were set to 10C (50F), and the control buttons are really tiny and hard to notice. A heads up from the owner would have been helpful. It was plenty warm once I found the controls. The setting is beautiful, and the stairs down to the lake ...

"Wir (3 Personen) waren im Chalet und es war gross genug. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht richtig, wurde aber vom Maintenance-Team innert Minuten repariert. Toller Service! Die Anlage ist sehr gross und gerade für Kinder ideal. Auch der beheizte Pool ist ein Plus!"
