„The place is good, and we had a good time in the area. The place is not right on the beach--it is about a 200 meter walk through the woods. The house is pretty remote, which can be a good thing, but every place we wanted to visit is at least an hour drive away. We did a lot of driving and spent a lot on gas. We wish we had stayed in Baddeck.“

„The location of this property was spectacular. We were able to walk the beach just steps from the door. The house was very comfortable. There was an adequate supply of bottled water to overcome the piped water which smelled off. We loved our stay. “

„We enjoyed our stay at Sailor's Rest. So close to the oceanfront that we were lulled to sleep by the waves each night. A good location for exploring the grandeur of Cape Breton Island.“

„We checked in Friday afternoon went out Saturday morning got back Saturday night to find out there was no water the pump went in the well I called the owner Sunday morning and told him about it he apologized many times he also refunded half my money back within a few minutes the care taker had a couple of big jugs of water for me so I was able to stay until Monday morning it’s a nice place and if i had to rate the owner I would give him a 10 out of 10“

„A very nice property. Four couples stayed there a night while on a motorcycle tour of Nova Scotia. One of the bedrooms didn’t have access to a bathroom so it was more of a 3br house rather than 4br. Spacious with many amenities but there were numerous sticky notes around informing us of things that didn’t work or shouldn’t be used. The access road was gravel and not motorcycle friendly.“

„It was a nice well kept room, everything was neat and tidy. Thank you for the coffee machine it was used, my horns came back down. In the future do make sure all the garbage cans are emptied.“

„The home was very clean and has beautiful views from every window. Especially the large front windows overlooking the lake. The deck is large and has plenty of room to enjoy meals and coffee in the morning with panoramic lake views and passing sail boats. And at night the whole family enjoyed looking at the stars including shooting stars.“
