Bute is such a lovely island with a very specific charm (in architecture, landscape, history ...), and the people we met were overwhelmingly friendly and so pleasingly laid-back. „This apartment was ideal for our 3 night stay while we walked the West Island Way. Comfortable, bright and cosy, with everything we needed for our stay. Fabulous view over Rothesay, the ferry terminal and beyond. Definitely worth the short steep walk up the hill to get there. Would happily return. “

„Our stay was compromised very strongly, because we found out after 5-6 days that all sleeping rooms were moldy, which is a great health risk. In the beginning we thought it was just the smell of a house that has not been in use for a longer time. Unfortunately, we were proven wrong. If no improvements are being made to the accomodation, it is a great health risk to anybody to stay there even one night. Other than that, Scotland is a very beautiful country. Especially Puck's Glenn is beautiful ...

„Don't be put off any the tired exterior of Grove House. The apartment is well presented, well equipped though you must be prepared to climb 38 steps to get to this attic location. The upside is breathtaking views of the sea. Low star for communication is that although owner lives in ground floor there is no attempt to make personal contact. Odd.“

It’s right in the centre of Rothesay so everything is on your doorstep.It’s on the second floor which was a challenge for our elderly dog but it means that you have a great view from the bay window in the living room.A previous review mentioned a lack of parking outside.
