„Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before.“

„We had a wonderful week at Kenmure Kennels walking the trails, gathering around the table and enjoying the cosy fire. The house is well equipped for a group and feels like a loving home, not a characterless rental. “

„The house was an ideal setting to see in the new year. The area has lots of interesting walks and cycling routes. The hosts provided plenty communication ahead of the booking and accomodated for our youngest guest (1 year old). The property could benefit from a few more kitchen essentials (bin bags, dish clothes etc), but this a wasn't major issue. All in all, a really nice stay.“

„So peaceful! We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed some great mountain biking. Lots of wildlife and very good wild swimming.“

„7 of us descended on Penninham House for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The staff were fantastic and super helpful even when we had to call at 21:00 due to a fallen tree!“
