„This was a very nice an fun place to stay. Everything we needed was right where it needed to be. It was a great place to bring the dog. The walk down to the water got to be a regular routine. The house was clean and the heat works really fast with only subtle adjustments. Just remember to watch your head. There are several low ceiling areas that will bring you to your sense if you disregard them. Our hosts were responsive and helpful. Definitely would stay here again. “

„Place was as described and almost perfect for our needs. The proximity to the lake was great and the dogs had a great time playing in the water. The house was well equipped and came thru in stars when we executed our lobster boil and roll making. Beds were comfy and bedrooms were spread out enough in this somewhat creaky house to keep everyone sleeping soundly. Bathrooms only on the first floor was a minor inconvenience “

From the downstairs bookstore just casually available in the living room, the fireplace, to the field of flowers in the back, and the screened in porch, to the refurbished bathtub reading nook. „The house was nice and the owner was great to deal with, she provided a lot of local knowledge on things to do. I will say that it is on a surprisingly busy road. But the horses were great and the family loved to give them apple slices and carrots. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. Also it’s not too far from Bar Harbor and Arcadia.“

„Our grown children who live in neighboring states met us in Maine for a long weekend together. The house has lots of vintage charm and a welcoming soul. The kitchen, dining and living rooms were the perfect size for our group. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Everyone but me slept well (I'm a VERY high maintenance sleeper and should have brought my own pillows) The property is beautiful and secluded.
