Gut: Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
Positive:
the location of the hotel is very good. There were lots of good restaurants and small supermarkets within 300 m. The highway was relatively easy to reach, so you could easily go on excursions anywhere. Funchal was a good 10 minutes away by car.
The room was very clean with a fantastic sea view (3rd floor).
The breakfast buffet was OK but nothing more, although at first glance it looked like more.
The swimming area in the hotel bay, where there is also a diving center, was fantastic.
What we didn't like:
When we were greeted and in the restaurant, we didn't get the impression that the guest was the main focus. There was also no welcome in our booked suite, apart from carelessly placed bottles of water and wine with price tags attached.
Why the architect built an open bathroom without a door will remain his secret.
The fitness room was too small and very full of equipment, but the service was very good.
The sauna area is completely careless, with no windows and no outdoor area. The outdoor pool is hardly used because the water is much colder than the Atlantic!
There were only six hotel parking spaces, although people on Madeira tend to get around by car. You had to look for a parking space (for a fee) in the immediate vicinity, but that worked out quite well.
