„We ended up spending much more time in the cottage than intended - for weather and health reasons. Not very comfortable for long term inside - there is limited seating. But the pictures show that accurately, and the outside area was very nice, with ceiling fans over very comfortable wooden rockers. „Glenda, the proprietor, was very friendly and helpful. She is one of the hardest working women I have ever met. Our accommodations were clean and quiet. I really appreciated her eye for decorating with antiques. The welcome basket of treats and essentials was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely stay there again. “

„Me and my mom stayed with our dogs while working on our property nearby. The views were spectacular, especially watching fireworks in the valley below. Perfect destination for Fourth of July or just to get out of town and enjoy some tranquility. First time I saw fireflies since my childhood. Highly recommend visiting.“

„My girlfriend and I loved this cottage and the view was amazing! We spent 99% of the time on the back porch. Enjoyed the clear days and watching the rain roll through the valley. There is some other cottages around, but you won’t even notice they are there. The owner did a great job with modernizing the cottage, but keeping a mountain cottage feel. Morganton has many parks with great trails, waterfalls and views. Visit Lake James…beautiful lake with kayaking available. We hope to return next ...
