„It’s not worth the price we paid, we booked for 11 person but the bed can only accommodate 10 person that my son end up sleeping on the floor , upstrair toilet floor is leaking down to the kitchen, we emailed the host on the first day but no reply til we check out, So we have to share the the down floor toilet, the hot tub is dirty that we end up cleaning for us to be able to use, dusty and loads of cubweds in one of the bedroom downstairs.“

„Great base for exploring North Wales and Chester. Loved the kitchen area. The huge table was excellent for playing games around. Kitchen had everything we needed for 14 of us. Loved that each room had their own bathroom. Would have liked an additional towel per room. Some of the TVs didn't work but we didn't use them so it didn't make a difference to us. Mattresses were a little uncomfortable but still managed to get a decent sleep. Extra pillows would have been nice too. Excellent communication ...

„Whilst we only stayed one night after a family event in Chester the beds were confortable and we could see the possibilities of the venue as an excellent place for parties or events. Shame we didn't have more time to use the facilities such as the hot tub and dinning room table“

„We had a fabulous time here. The property is excellent, check in a breeze, location idyllic and hosts fantastic.We really had a great relaxing time. The home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We used the slow cooker which I wasn't expecting them to have. A great stock of board games too. It is truly a home away from home. Hot tub was brilliant, my daughter loved it. We will definitely be back but for longer. “

„We had a lovely time in this beautiful house - there was plenty of living space for the whole group to spread out and we loved having a big group dinner in the grand dining room. The house is old and some niggles are to be expected (minor cobwebs, loose doorknobs, a couple of chipped mugs) and they definitely didn't take away from our love for the place (and shouldn't deter anyone else!).“

„lovely peaceful and scenic, it was great to meet up with family living in wales, and not to far from the local village where my granddaughters other nan lives (the local dog groomer). The ideal place to relax and unwind. We are considering renting all 3 cabins next year and spending time with family.“

„Jean und Nick haben den ehemaligen Stall mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgebaut. Aus dem Bett auf der Galerie hat man morgens bereits einen schönen Blick in die Berge. The Stable wir eingerahmt von einem schönen Garten. Die kleine Terrasse geht nach Süden und bietet Gelegenheit für lauschige Stunden, sofern das Wetter es zulässt. „Absolutely brilliant, the house was amazing, lovely and clean had everything you would need no need to go out as all that be required ffor cooking etc is there. We had an issue wuth one of the bedroom doors but was resolved for us to be ble to use that same ecening. Not involved with the house but bus riute not good but close to park and ride for chester centre “

„We spent a family Christmas of 14 including children and dogs at Pentrehobyn Hall this year, can’t find a single fault with the whole stay.The wow factor 11/10.The facilities 10/10, there was even a variety of cooking spices in the kitchen, tea & coffee etc. Totally home from home.Bedrooms 10/10, spotless- lovely crisp white bed linen, comfy beds, gorgeous fluffy towels and designer toiletries in the bathrooms. „Loved staying on the Railway, and a bonus is being able to catch a steam train from your doorstep! Everything we needed was in the acomodation but some things looked and felt a bit tired. Beds and sofa comfotable and it had a great shower. “

„Lovely Hotel with beautiful rooms combined with a traditional pub / restaurant Nelson’s and the beautiful Palm Court restaurant. Lovely big Spa pool, staff were first class, big shout for Carol on reception, Max, Giovanni and Harry in the Palm court really looked after us. “

„Wenn Hotelgäste im Nebenzimmer keine Rücksicht nehmen (von 3 Uhr bis 5 Uhr morgens), dann nützt das ruhige Zimmer im Innenhof nicht! Das Personal war aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück könnte man verbessern. Für die Weiterreise nach Nord-Wales ist das Hotel an bester Lage (direkter Anschluss an einer Hauptstrasse). Es gibt auch ein Park-and-Ride nach Chester in der Nähe.“

Old but charming Castle Hotel

"The hotel is situated in a beautiful area. The small village has 1 or 2 dinner possibilities around the market place and is charming - at least the center is. The hotel could use a lick of paint here ant there and you see that the owners do their best, but the castle is very large and surely there is much to do. They have tried to connect modernity and antique, of which I like the latter more. I visited the fitness studio, which was ok. There is a restaurant in the hotel with good food and cool beer. Be prepared to meet sheep lingering outside when you walk to your car. When we were there, there were enough parking spaced."

"Unterkunft war sehr laut, auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern. Die Zimmer verfügen über keine Klimaanlage und noch nicht mal eine Lüftung (auch nicht im. BAD). Das Hotel besticht nurr die Lage. Das Frühstück war eine Katastrophe! "
