„Nice place right on the lake.“

„We basically just slept here. The room was comfortable and clean. The room had a bit of a musty smell as the a/c wasn’t on. I would suggest running the dehumidifier consistently to improve that. The sink was a pedestal type with no shelf space at all. The sheets were good quality and the beds had 2 covers. “

„Booked this property when we visited for my nephew’s wedding. Everything was amazing! Exactly as described. We had a group of several family members who enjoyed all of the areas to sit and visit. Very comfortable home in a nice quiet area. We had everything we needed and the communication with our host was outstanding! I would definitely recommend this property!!“

„We stayed because property is between IA State Fair, and our extended family in Minburn. Kids/Grandkids came down from Twin Cities and we from Chicago. Adel is a nice town and property is convenient in a nice neighborhood. Home is large and comfortable, property from 1930's? All appliances and kitchen and beds were in good shape. (Appreciated the A/C)! We had to work out some issues with the owner, but she responded quickly and appropriately. We all had a great time.“

„This house was perfect for our family gathering in my wife’s hometown. Plenty of room for the 8 of us to sleep, and a large dining/living room area for a family meal and space to visit. The beds were comfortable. 2 grandsons claimed the room in the basement with a couch and loveseat. This will definitely be top of our list again if we have another family gathering here. Large smart TV in the main room. Smaller TV in some of the bedrooms. Nice book collection, and some DVD’s.“

„I grew up in a small town not far from this beautiful rental in Adel. Right off of a main highway but secluded by country surroundings. Super clean and great furnishings. My Iowa classmates meet each year and this is our favorite place to stay. You can’t ask for nicer owners or better facilities. A 10+ all the way. We will be back next year!“

„Our group of seven plus three dogs stayed in the farmhouse for a week during the summer and were very comfortable there! The house is large and very private, and we wish that it had been cooler weather so that we could have enjoyed a fire in the inside fireplace. We did somewhat miss having a dishwasher, but we survived! The listing and pictures are accurate, so you know that while it might not be the most luxurious accomodations, the affordability makes up for that. It is a drive to get back to ...

„We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by trees that gave us the perfect sense of peace and seclusion. One of the highlights was our hike down to the river—the fall colors were beautiful, and the sun reflecting off the water was breathtaking.
