„We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together“

„Steve was a fabulous host and really went out of his way to make our stay a memorable one.We arrived to the beautiful Orchard View Cottage in horrendous weather and we’re super happy to see how gorgeous Orchard View was. The cotrage has been beautifully finished and all home comforts have been catered for.We managed to get out to the local pub on NYE and had an amazing meal and a great start to 2025.“

„Der Aufenthalt an sich war gut. Allerdings ist die Wohnung dunkel (nicht so hell, wie auf dem Bild) und extrem muffig - nach Schimmelgeruch. Das war sehr unschön. Im Keller stehen verschimmelte Möbel und aus einem Einbauholzschrank in dder Essecke riecht es ebenfalls extrem schimmelig. Wir haben den ganzen unteren Bereich mit "Febreze" behandelt und dauerbelüftet. Dann ging es nach ein paar Tagen einigermaßen. Die ersten 2 Tage haben wir noch nach Ersatzwohnraum geschaut, weil wir wirklich stark ...

„The Landlord (better Landlady) has been very friendly and extremly helpful! We were sure to find the way to that house very easy with google-navy. BUT the Landlady wrote us before starting a better way to reach "The Fold" without problems. With her help we really arrived without problems. Sometimes we trusted google-navy- and suddenly we found ourselves in the darkness in between 20 sheeps in a very small briddleway. Better not to use google!!! „We really enjoyed staying at this property. We went to a wedding up the road and used the house as a base for walking locally and in the Lake District. If you would like to eat at the butchers arms, we recommend making a booking for dinner- we missed out. The greyhound in shap was excellent though. “

„What a lovely place with ample space for everyone. The was 5 adults and a dgo in our party and there was more than enough space for us. The barn had everything and more we needed and tue hot tub is a lovely touch.“

„Staying at The Cottage was like being at home, welcoming and comfortable. It was even decorated for Christmas when we arrived! Benjamin was a wonderful host and responded quickly to our queries. The location is perfect for getting to many beautiful locations, there is a well-stocked small grocery store down the block and parking was always available. We will certainly stay here again and might just move in!“
