„The service here is really good! They arranged airport pick up and drop off for us, had local suggestions for food and tours. Their English was good and they were very friendly. The morning breakfast was very good, we are two active brothers and it filled us up, which is not easy to do. All the staff were very honest and helpful. The room to clean and comfortable.“

„Doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the lower levels/elevator are somewhat sketchy, but the rooms themselves, and the rooftop patio were very nice. Good location, walking distance from the pyramids, and a good view of them from the rooms with balconies as well as from the roof. Food and beers were overpriced, and do NOT use them to book a cab… a taxi from the airport cost less than $20, but the hotel wanted $130 for the return trip! All in all, I would stay again.“

„I'm so glad I booked this hotel. From the minute I checked-in I felt at home. The owner and all the staff members made me feel utterly at home. I had an unfortunate accident whilst walking the streets of Cairo where wet concrete fell on me. When I got back to the hotel the owner offered straight away to wash my clothes, he didn't even charge me. The hospitality is something else here! highly recommend, such nice people! “

My educated guess is, the hotel goofed the booking and was overbooked. Management offered a cancellation, but standing in Gizeh in an unsafe area at night without a room was not a real option. „The apartments were nice and had everything I needed, at a reasonable price. The bed was comfortable and the floor plan was nice in the one bedroom unit. I needed fast internet for work and was happy with the connectivity. The staff was friendly and helpful. There’s a grocery store close by and it was easy to get an uber right at the front door. I didn’t try any of the restaurants nearby but there were a few. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area. “

"We spent one night at Novotel Cairo while having our transit and I must say,these things were perfect: quick check-in, superfriendly reception, free room upgrade for a nice suite! Yes, the hotel is not new but it has a very practical location, pool outside, quiet rooms with all ameneties. We were totally satisfied."

"The lady at the counter was amazing, perfectly organized, very helpful, everything on time. Bed was very comfy, everything clean. All staff and people around in restaurants and shops were very friendly, everything in short walking distance and we felt very safe. Breakfast was delicious, view of sphinx and pyramids breathtaking. Street in front of the house at daytime noisy, but that‘s part of the city and didn‘t bother us. Would always come again. Thanks a lot to the staff!!!"
