„All the staff friendly and helpful. I liked the character beams and wall beams in the period property. Lovely huge comfy bed. My arthritic hands could barely turn the bathroom sink taps on and off as the taps were very stiff. „Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. „The Sugarbeat B&B is a great home from home, staff, food and service is top notch! Our room ‘Manilow’ was ok but noisy in the morning from 0700 with extractor fans for kitchens, plus doesn’t go off until 1100. The room low roof made it very difficult to relax, plus only one chair to watch tv or have a coffee in room. Cleanliness could be a little bit better with some stains and marks on furniture. Overall an excellent place and have booked again for April.“
